Weekly Astrology Horoscopes December 23-29, 2013

Happy holidays everyone!

Now that the Sun is in Capricorn, it's officially winter as of the winter solstice on December 21. The future days promise more light as we head towards the summer solstice six months from now.

During the holidays of course it's nice to be with family and friends to reminisce over the accomplishments and transformations that happened in our lives over the past year and to look forward with hope for the future. For some though, the holidays are a depressing time for a number of reasons. So, for those of you who feel upbeat and positive during the holidays, be sure to extend that love to others, even if only a warm smile of recognition. You can be a beacon of light for others.

On the same day as the Sun moved into Capricorn, Venus started her retrograde cycle. The passion to achieve and to receive become evermore embodied.

Now is the enhanced desire for us all to aim for greater self-love. It's a time to see yourself as not only worthy of love from others, but to also put down all the self-critical analysis of yourself so you can appreciate and love yourself for who you are more fully.

This is one of the greatest challenges in life for many people who have been conditioned to judge themselves. The reminders to judge oneself, rather than love oneself, are around nearly every corner. Now is a time to focus on getting to know and experience who you are with love that is unconditional. Let the light in to wash away anything that stands in the way of you loving yourself more.

Mercury moves into Capricorn on December 24. Thinking about your goals and higher aims gets more attention as we move through the holidays. When the 25th arrives, Mars is in opposition to Uranus, sudden passions and a direct, sudden experience can change everything. Relationships can take on an all new tone.

On boxing day, after all the hustle and bustle we'll be better able to consider what direction we want to take our lives with a more spiritually significant, fantastical mode of thinking. The 26th is a great day to meditate. Much needed naps should bring awesome dreams that are mystically inclined, and thus could be slightly confusing to the logical mind, but meaningful and interesting enough to lead you to ponder the bridge between your mind and spirit.

We wish you to have very happy Holy Days. It's almost 2014. Have a great week!
