Where are the Brightest Planets in May's Night Sky? Look Up to See Jupiter in May!

The color scheme of the piece of art I made today had quite a Jupiter vibe. I looked out the window tonight and saw a bright light in the sky directly in front of me. I adjusted my glasses for a sharper view, and I thought I could see a ring... it was Jupiter.

You can look up to the southern sky at night to see Jupiter in May. Yes, Jupiter does have a faint disc/ring and it will be it's brightest and largest for the year around the 9th of May. That's explained in the first article below.
