Astrology is a rich practice, and in many ways, the most experienced practitioner is always a student. That is part of the fun! No matter how long you do or do not practice it, it is always there, ready to pick up and provide insights, self-knowledge, and self-trust. I will meet you where you are, whether advanced student or total newbie, in helping your practice grow and thrive.

Each week will begin with a posting by the instructor, which outlines basics of the lesson taught, as well as questions for consideration and suggested assignments and/or readings. There are no mandatory readings or assignments to complete. The more you participate the more you will gain. There is no specific class time. The lesson will be posted by Monday evening each week, and the students are free to access it and respond as they feel at any point during the 12-week course.

You go at you own pace, trusting your own intuition, and do as much as feels right for you. As your instructor, I will also participate and provide feedback within 3 days of posting your homework assignment, or any astrology related questions you may have. My intention is for all students to feel supported in the strengthening of their practice, and to help you cultivate a greater appreciation for this very special tradition.

During the week students will be welcome to post their insights into how that weeks lessons applies to their own and each others charts, what considerations the questions posted have led to, and to converse with each other to find what answers are best for them.

Trust and a willingness to share and consider is all that is required to participate in this online adventure. Assignment questions are suggested but not mandatory. There are no mandatory textbooks to purchase. Online websites and resources will be provided so that students can post their own natal astrology chart. Students will be encouraged to post links to websites or suggest books that are complementary to the outline for that class. Throughout this 12-week course we will be looking at the charts of our peers in this class as we lay the groundwork for a flourishing new practice to begin.

There is no specific school of astrology taught here, though an emphasis is placed on the psychological experience of the person, which the chart represents, over the prediction of likely external events. There is space here to explore it all, though the inner growth symbolized in the chart examined will be placed as a priority. My expertise lies in the area of Western Astrology, its history, development and techniques.

Message From Nadiya,

I am a Consulting Astrologer, Sun Sign Columnist, and one of the few people in the world to hold an M.A. in the Cultural Study of Cosmology and Divination, from the University of Kent, United Kingdom.

My belief is that Astrology and Divination are tools that can be used to gain insights to the energy of a moment. I use it personally to help me gain clarity and consider where my current choices are leading. What I love most about Divination is that it makes me aware of the power of my free will and choices today. No matter what is going on right now, I can choose how I am going to interpret it and choose how I will exercise my perspective.

There is a metaphysical and intuitive side to it as well. Divination is a part of my spiritual practice, and yet another way I seek to communicate with and understand energies. It is something that we all can do if we choose to develop it. I have been fortunate that I have had a long road of continued positive feedback. I believe we all have the gift of intuition, and it is certainly something that can be developed if nurtured. Divination and Astrology are tools of accessing and articulating one aspect of my intuition.

It can be learned by anyone.

I trust, very passionately, that we all deserve to cultivate our own unique, personal connection to Divine energy, regardless of how we understand or articulate it.

Astrology and Divination help me live more in tune with the grand design, knowing there is an ebb and flow to everything. Choice becomes a factor here as well. I can choose what good I will expand on, what good I will close off, and what I will attempt to resist.

The way I understand fate is based in my absolute belief that the Universe is a supremely loving one. At times events will conspire to help us reach the grandest version of our greatest selves. When seen in the most loving and empowering perspective, there is beauty, purpose, and growth in everything.

Astrologically, I prefer to focus on the development of an individual’s soul purpose or soul journey, and perceptions, as opposed to focusing on outside events exclusively. I support exploring the connection between mysticism, spiritual growth, and Astrology. Natal Chart interpretations where I can focus on increasing awareness into a person’s soul development and spiritual journey are most rewarding to me and, I have found, to my clients as well.

If I had a mission statement, it would be to empower people with an awareness of their spiritual strength.
