Light in Others. Seeing their Truth.

When you are kind to others your light shines. Others see your light, they feel your light when you are connected to your higher self and to others. When you are honest, gentle, considerate, mindful and compassionate you are spreading love to others and yourself.

In the West, and likely in all the world from place to place, we are conditioned to be judgmental of not only others, but of ourselves. We are conditioned to be critical and self righteous, but we can change this by becoming more aware of our thoughts and who we are.

We can see the harm this conditioning does when others are treated badly, made fun of, criticized for being who they are. This type of treatment to others causes feelings that are not joyous, abundant and loving. This type of treatment comes from a place of fear, ignorance and a lack of compassion when our ego’s desires to create the illusion of us being better than others takes root. It is so easy to harm others through our actions and words. Karma teaches us that actions have results. When the intentions behind your actions are harmful they reverberate to others and return to you. It does not truly feel good to treat others poorly, it is an illusion that is temporary and unfulfilling.

Namasté is a sanskrit word used frequently in the West in practices like Yoga and Meditation and is known in the East for it’s communion with others.

Namasté is a term of recognizing the Divine in others and is translated to mean “The Divine in me bows to the Divine in you” or “The Light in my bows to the Light in you” and similarly related variations thereof.

This is a recognition of the universality of the source and spiritual essence that is within all sentient beings. It is an honoring of the sacred oneness of all that is with reverence, appreciation and respectful kindness.

There have been moments when I’ve been in a crowd of people and I’ve judged others unfairly. There have been some moments of epiphany when this happens as well.

One day in the grocery store near the automated cashier counter I saw a woman who was very pale, very different looking than other people in general standing with a man, putting her order through. She looked drained of energy, sickly almost. For a brief second my mind flitted to judgments. Negative thoughts about her appearance, really quite shallow thoughts, recognizable everywhere we turn these days. I too had fallen victim and in turn created victims of the viciously unfair thoughts applied to complete strangers that can plague our unawakened minds. Then in a flash something dramatic came over me. A feeling of light poured over her, or through her and I could feel it so strongly. It radiated. My mind immediately changed to a feeling of complete compassion, oneness and seeing her truth. In her it was as if the Divine had become so clearly present. My eyes softened, and a truly powerful surge of love flooded out all other considerations. An understanding that she too suffers, as we all do; that her suffering was real, became genuinely apparent. It was not a feeling of pity in any way. It was a feeling of reality. That this woman was on her journey in this life and has so much to live for, to enjoy, and so much pain to endure, all at once. She was the presence of the human experience of life, in that moment, totally and undeniably real. I was there, to witness and feel who she was, in her state of being as she was, and it transformed me in that moment.

As I walked away to get to the cashier with my order, it was as though I became my real self again. Remembering who I really was. So much more authentic than all that chattering drivel of judgments that passes through our minds. I realized who she was and who I was. I felt light.

Another experience I had which I remember clearly, a couple years earlier, was when walking through a college hallway and seeing a man walk by. Immediately I judged him as so many of us do. We really are conditioned from a very young age to see what in others we can label as less than valued. When I saw him, my judgment again immediately escaped me. This time though it was as if I saw a beam of light within him, at the core of his being. It wasn’t something visual, nothing I could see with my eyes, rather it was a very strong sense of the light. A sense that came through in a visual within, not externally. In that moment too, a compassionate feeling overwhelmed me. I realized that this was the light spoken of in the term Namasté. As I looked around I realized that this was the hidden light that was in all of us, including myself, and it lighting up, it was resonating with the light in others. In that moment I did not feel guilty for my previous moment of negative thoughts. In contrast, I felt relieved. I was relieved to know that from the darkness of my thoughts, light was born, and I could release the negativity and let it go. I felt like I was seeing the truth of who he was and those other thoughts were merely illusions that could dissipate so quickly for they had no real weight of authenticity. They were not the truth.

It is so amazing how in a crowded area with so much going on around us, it’s as if everything fades away except for the power in that moment of transformation. Everything vanishes from importance and an awakening takes place.

In hindsight though, those negative thoughts we do carry around with us do have weight. A weight that is so heavy on our hearts and minds and clouds our vision of what is true.

If we all saw the light in others, and shared our light through our kindness and living with compassion there would be more love to enjoy, more laughs not at the expense of others, but laughs of enjoying the presence of others. It is sad that in our society a large portion of our laughter is generated from the ridicule and belittling of others. This is not true laughter, it is a spasm of unawareness that leaves us knowing less of the truth of ourselves and others.

If you wish to truly feel good and share that goodness with others, be kind, be generous, be loving. It will change your view of the world, your experience and the experience of others. Live your truth. The real truth of who you are. See the truth of the light in others, under all those layers. It is there, in everyone.

Have enough compassion for yourself, to have compassion for others.

Those of you growing up in the 80’s may remember this version of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland story. With the new version Alice in Wonderland by Tim Burton out, which has had mixed reviews, this older version will likely satisfy those who love the mystical, dreamy story. Quite possibly, with the exception of visuals, this may be one of the best, recent, film adaptation of Alice in Wonderland to date.

Sacred Stones of the Himalayas. Himalayan Quartz.

It was sometime in the late 1990’s in the mountainous regions of northern India that I was presented with my first Himalayan quartz crystal. A single point, weighing in at almost three kilograms, it was without a doubt the clearest and most fantastic crystal I had ever held.

“This comes from much upper” my local friend told me with a certain exaggerated, wide-eyed look which would later become his signature expression every time he unveiled another miraculous crystal from its grubby newspaper wrapping.

My friend was a priest at a local temple and was lucky enough to encounter the villagers who had made this amazing find. They had brought a piece into the temple as an offering and were praying for guidance, having little connection with the world, yet knowing they had found something of value.

Their prayer was instantly answered when my friend brought me the first piece. I bought everything they had, so beginning my lifelong pursuit of these amazing gifts of nature.

Over the years, my wife, Maria and I returned many times, staying for months at a time while my local friends combed the villages, listening for word of any new finds.

Alas, there was usually only a trickle and what we did find was often of poor quality or badly damaged. I cannot possibly describe the heartbreak I endured time and time again as we found simply breathtaking specimens with the point completely smashed off or with so many dings and scratches that I wished they had never been disturbed.

This prompted me ever onward and upward, pursuing the dream of one day finding the magical, high altitude places where these wonders of nature formed and have rested undisturbed for millions of years; the untouched plateaus where no footprint exists, save that of the ‘jungli bukrah’ or wild mountain goat.

For years I searched in vain, learning that these places are always the best kept of secrets among the locals and that it was a long way to 4000 meters to find nothing! I visited villages at high altitudes, only to discover that the people were less accommodating than I had imagined and the wide diversity of local dialects made communication difficult. Some didn’t seem to understand even ‘namaste’, the most common of greetings throughout much of India.

I continued to buy any less-damaged pieces I could find from the locals I encountered in the valleys, coming up with only small batches for my months of work. Until one day I stumbled upon the most beautifully forested, pristine valley I had yet encountered. In one of only two villages in the area I met the family who would drastically alter the direction of my search and lead me to the ‘Crystal Shamballah’of which I had dreamed for over a decade.

We now conduct expeditions to high altitude localities in search of the rare geothermal conditions and alpine-type clefts which exist in this region and are necessary to produce some of the oldest and most spectacularly clear quartz crystals on our planet.

Using only simple hand tools we carefully extract these rare treasures, leaving as little trace as we can of our activities. The most amazing thing of all is that in these conditions, at high altitudes the crystals just seem ripe for the picking and barely a hammer is struck! In massive clay-filled pockets and fissures, exposed over countless years by erosion, the crystals lie, waiting to be plucked by the gentle hand of the intrepid adventurer who dares!

Now the time has come to bring these magical gifts of the Himalayas to the world. Placing these sacred stones in the hands of lightworkers and healers worldwide they will come to rest in every nation. With this pattern of dispersion we create a Great Planetary Crystal Grid, centered in the mightiest of mountains on our Earth. Authentic Kabbalah Part 2

What is an additional sense?

First off, let’s clarify how ordinary senses works, and what is reality. A kabbalist is a person who ascends to a higher level, beyond form and matter, and from there observes our world and the world that has been revealed to him, perceiving both worlds as one whole. This is why, many kabbalistic sources, including those that are thousands of years old, like Sefer ha Zohar (written 2000 years ago), or the ancient Midrash Raba, (3700 years ago), speak of the problems concerning the perception of reality.

According to Kabbalah, there is no objective reality whatsoever. To begin with, each living creature perceives it differently. If our sensory organs were different, we would see the world differently as well. If we could see in ultraviolet or x-rays, if we could hear, smell or feel in a different frequency ranges, then our world – the sum of our sensations -would be completely different and would draw for us a completely different picture. That fact clearly indicates that the world is basically our subjectively perceived reality, which exists within us. These days even science is developing a clear understanding that our world is illusory, as it depends solely on our sensory organs – their frequency range and mode of operation. Hence, ordinary science doesn’t examines the reality itself, but subjective sensations that our senses along with our brain draw for us.

Authentic Kabbalah - External World

Let’s take a look at the following example : if I knock on the table—you hear a sound. A certain action creates a certain wave. This wave reaches your ear, strikes the eardrum, moves through all the systems, (electrical, chemical), reflects in your brain, which compare it with familiar data, determines the origin of a sound, and informs you of it. What does all this have to do with whatever took place on the outside? Please note, that the external wave itself never gets through your ear – what you actually hear is subjective reaction on the wave coming from your eardrum, not the external sound itself. The rest of our senses work the same way, thus providing us an illusion of external reality we live in, including time, space, and movement.

One important question remains to be cleared up. Is there any external world at all? Kabbalah tells us that external reality doesn’t exist, and neither are there any external phenomena – everything exists within man. And outside of us there’s nothing, except a constant force within which we exist, and based on our compatibility with this constant force (the Creator), various kinds of internal phenomena occur within us, and create within us all sorts of sensations.

The lack of external reality is clearly perceived by kabbalists. They observe the forces that draw an illusion of reality within us. How do they attain those forces? Kabbalists add one additional sense to their usual five sensory organs. It’s called “soul” (נשמה – neshama). It functions according to a fundamentally different principle. The soul itself is a certain degree of similarity to the Creator, meaning, to the altruistic quality. The higher degree of similarity a kabbalist reaches, the more objective reality he attains. As opposed to 5 senses, the soul isn’t connected to the body, as it’s not egoistic. The sensation coming from the soul is a pure picture of the outside world, without form, time, space, and other illusory parameters created by 5 senses.

Authentic Kabbalah - Soul

Moreover, when Kabbalists attain the outside forces, their attainment is absolutely accurate and scientific—with graphs, formulas, and precise measurements. An altruistic perception does not disturb one’s worldview. It gives a sensation, awareness and knowledge of the world just as it is, irrespective of the observer. This sort of sensation doesn’t replace an illusion of the physical world – quite the contrary, it expands one’s perception with an additional layer of reality.

There is a simple question that might appear at this point : Why should one attain another reality that exists outside of him? How does it benefit him?

In fact, we are being pushed toward the entrance to this new reality, and we must enter it, because existence in this uppermost external reality, is eternal and complete. This is what nature is pushing us toward, and this is the final goal towards which humanity was directed from the very beginning. This issue will be explained in detail when discussing the stages of egoism development.

What kabbalists understand by “World”?

I believe, now it’s clear, that there is virtually nothing outside except certain forces, that influence us in the constant way. We have no idea that we live under absolute influence of the Upper forces. All variety of states we go through is caused by our inner change, not the change of the outside world.
This dependence can be depicted as equation :

Inner qualities + CONSTANT = The world man lives in

Hence, by “World” (עולם – olam) kabbalists understand a full spectrum of inner qualities, as the inner qualities solely define what reality we live in (by inner qualities I understand a certain degree of the soul development).

For example, the term Our World (עולם זה – Olam ha Ze) indicates, that a person living in it doesn’t have a soul (the level of similarity to the Upper force is equal to zero). Thus, the term itself doesn’t refer to the outside reality, but to the inner state.

Our World is something Kabbalah doesn’t deal with – this is a subject examining by ordinary sciences. Kabbalah examines the spiritual worlds only. Spiritual (קדוש – kadosh) also means “separated” – that is separated from Our World (egoistic quality).

While attaining the spiritual worlds, kabbalists remain living in Our World. It means, that altruistic quality doesn’t replace inborn egoism – so on the physical level nothing changes. The spiritual attainment is an additional layer of life, and it has nothing to do with one’s daily life.

The Purpose of Kabbalah

First off, let’s briefly sum up the main concepts :

1. Kabbalah is an accurate science allowing one to investigate and define man’s position in the universe. It allows one to empirically reveal the spiritual roots of the universe, thus answering almost all possible questions one might have, including : what is the meaning of life, why we are born, why we live, where we come from, and where we are going. Kabbalah is not a theoretical study, but a purely practical one. Man learns about himself, what he is like, and what he needs to do to change himself in order to attain the higher state – thus he reveals his own spiritual root, climbing to the top of spiritual ladder, being guided step by step, and stage by stage.

2. Kabbalah is a method of reaching the spiritual world, that can be shortly defined as the most perfect state of existance, characterized by constant and infinite pleasure. By studying Kabbalah, we develop another sense, allowing one to gradually attain the spiritual world, while still living in physical reality.

The word “Kabbalah” comes from the word “le kabbel” (to receive), that is to receive pleasure. Kabbalah describes the motives of every action as “the desire to receive”, that is the core of the universe, consisting of four levels : human, animal, vegetative, and inanimate. Thus, Kabbalah itself is a science of reception, the method of reaching the inborn goal of human being – infinite pleasure beyond its form.

Who is a kabbalist?

A kabbalist is a person who, on the outside, is like any other person. There is nothing unusual in the outward appearance. They are ordinary people who, through studying Kabbalah, acquired an additional sense – a sensation of the hidden part of the world.

A kabbalist can perceive the entire universe with this newly acquired sense, perceiving both our world and the spiritual world as a whole reality, just as we perceive our everyday reality. Kabbalists feel the Upper world and directly attain it. Kabbalists see that everything descends from the Upper world and appears in ours. They see all the causes and effects because they simultaneously exist in both the Upper World and in our world.

Hence, kabbalists aren’t religious, and they don’t believe anything except for their own empirical attainment. Obviously, kabbalists have nothing to do with Judaism, nor any other belief system, though many might think otherwise.

An ordinary person perceives only a fraction of the surrounding universe and calls this fraction our world, whereas a kabbalist perceives the entire scope of the universe.

Harry Potter’s Wizarding World is a new attraction of Universal Studios, Orlando Florida Resorts Islands of Adventure. Opening this spring, the 20-acre theme park has been veiled in mystery, but as the date for the grand opening approaches we’re getting a clearer picture of what’s in store.

Starting out at Hogsmeade station, you’ll be able to get your own wand that chooses you, in Banges magical shop, just one of the many shops to wander through. You’ll also have access to merchandise from the Ministry of Magic among others.

Hogwarts Castle may be the most desired place to visit for hardcore fans. The architecture, the lighting, the candles, statues, the school, the magick, and the mystery will surely immerse fans into the ambiance of Harry Potters world.

Harry Potter’s Three Broomsticks and Hogs Head pub, enjoy some pumpkin juice and butter beer.

Love the books and movies or not, Harry Potter is here to stay in the minds and hearts of fans for some time to come.

Eros is Love, the most powerful of all the gods born from the oldest gods Khaos (Air), the dark and formless void, and Nyx (Night), the most ancient goddess. Later, writers made him one of the youngest gods, as the son of Aphrodite, the goddess of Love. Eros is the physical, magnetic force of the universe of attraction in matter, where love and sex are experiences of the union of matter and spirit in passion symbolizing this force.

Depicted as a young winged boy, Eros, arouses love and desire by shooting his golden arrows with dove feathers into the hearts of mortals and gods. The Romans names Eros – Cupid which means desire. His other arrows were made of blunt lead and cause those inflicted to fear love.

Eros is the Greek god of love and desire whereas Agape, is the god of unconditional, spiritual love.

Eros powers of arousing love could also wound hearts. For love can cause also cause pain. He would often shoot is arrows into unsuspecting victims in turn creating a frenzy of passion and all the blessings and trials that love imbues.

When Aphrodite became jealous of the attention and admiration Psyche (a mere daughter of a King) was receiving, she asked Eros to shoot his arrow into the heart her so she would fall in love with a most hideous creature. In the process Eros fell in love with Psyche, some versions of the legend state he pricked himself with his own arrow throwing him under the spell of his own flames of raging love. To conceal his identity Eros asked Psyche to not light her chamber. One night her curiosity beckoned her to light a lamp while Eros slept. A drop of hot oil fell onto Eros, awakening him. He fled and Psyche desperately traveled the earth trying to find her lover. Eventually they were reunited with Zeus consenting them to marry.

The myths of the Roman Cupid (Greek Eros) and Psyche intertwine their myths in writings over the ages. The younger Cupid, in his relationship with Psyche represents the maturing of Love. Psyche means “butterfly” and “soul.”
