I'd like to add some correspondences to the throat chakra. Gemstones: Kyanite is a very important throat chakra stone. Its yang energy encourages honest and straightforward communication. It functions as a bridge between the involved parties. Its all-chakra balancing function ensures that communication proceeds from a place of balance and equanimity. Planet: I'd like to suggest the addition of Venus as the throat chakra is traditionally associated with the sun sign Taurus, ruled by Venus.
The throat charka also embodies will, as will energy is ether energy. It is the first charka which allows us to respond, manipulate and change our surroundings. This is very evident mundanely, as it allows the transfer of thoughts and ideas. But it has a deeper root in the spiritual realms, as it is the first source, but definitely not the only source, we have to change the energies (vibrations) outside of our being. Examples of this are chanting, spellcraft, spoken ritual, prayer ect. And as I spoke about in another thread, music, which is created by the throat, our built in instrument, effects us in countless ways and magnitudes. I try not to get too attached to symbolism, though it has its uses, but it also limits the idea which has no limits.
I experienced someone having a very strong throat chakra it was blueish tealish very bright and soft like a cloud hitting the face. Some legends say when you die where the Soul exits the body dictates what you will be in your next life. Perhaps when you emit very strong manifestations of these chakras gives hints into how you were recieved into the current body? Chakra Five: Sound, Creative identity, oriented to self-expression. This is the chakra located in the throat and is thus related to communication and creativity. Here we experience the world symbolically through vibration, such as the vibration of sound representing language. Meaning: Pure. Location: Throat. Sound Element: Also know as Akasha. Love, Enmity, Shyness, Fear and Attachment. Attributes: Ego. Desire: Solitude. Activity: Thoughts and Ideas. Symbol: White Circle (Lunar Circle - Pure Cosmic Sound) surrounded by 16 Purple-Gray Petals. Mantra: Repetition of Bijan Mantra-Ham. Each petal has a Sanskrit letter (Am, Amm, Lm, Llm, Um, Uum, Rm, Rrm, Lm, Llm, Em, Alm, Om, Aum, Aam, and Ahm). These Mantras go straight to the voice. The speaker's words go straight to the Heart. Deities: Each Chakra has a Manifestation of the Shiva and Shakti Deities. Panchavaktra - The Great Teacher, Eternal Knowledge, Balance and Non-Duality. Shakini Shakti - Bestower of Higher Knowledge and Powers. Memory, Will, Intuition and Improvisation. Gaja the Elephant - Carrier of the Bija Mantra-Ham. Confidence, Hearing and In Tune with Nature.
Throat chakra must be giving me trouble lately...got a healing the other day and felt lots of emotion stuck in my throat and the woman asked where I felt uncomfortable in my body and I said my throat, which I hadn't previously thought about because I have various places in my back that is most physically uncomfortable. But that answer just came out...reading this made me remember that. Have been in a high state of anxiety lately. Need to work that out...maybe some sound therapy might help...
Hmmm. Interesting indeed. I went back and checked. The symbol is listed as a circle in the text, but the picture of the symbol is more complex! It is a circle enclosing an inverted triangle which itself encloses a smaller circle. So yes, it would appear that the inverted triangle is included... looks like very poor proof reading to me... I shall write a strongly worded letter to the publisher... Namaste
Interesting. I've read the symbol for the throat chakra is an inverted pyramid. Last night I had a dream that someone was showing me perfect cirlces that were on my hands that I hadn't noticed before, but on closer inspection (in my dream) I had small circles approximately 2.5-3mm in diametre in a few places on my palm parallel to each other.
