Me too. I started my mantras during the new moon of Leo (first week of August) and I'm on my 32nd day. I'm doing it for 40 days and going to continue it again.
I use 3 different mantras and 1 type of prayer.
The first one I do is called:
Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō - The mantra is referred to as Daimoku (題目, or the Great Invocation). (I think Daimoku is japanese or chinese?) The purpose of chanting daimoku is to attain perfect and complete awakening, and have actual proof of this practice to oneself and others of the validity of the Lotus Sutra. It cleanses your chakras and the vibrations awakens your cells. It's the same mantra that Tina Turner chanted to break free from her relationship with Ike Turner.
The second one I do is called:
Om mani padme hum (Derived from the sanksrit, denavegan ॐ मणि पद्मे हूँ, om maṇi padme huṃ) is probably the most famous mantra in buddhism. It said that if you chant this mantra, you will attain peace, love, prosperity, protection, bliss, compassion, wisdom and will always be surrounded by deities, angels and helpful beings. The vibrations of it attracts positive energy.
The third one I do is called :
Om Shri Mahalakshmi namaha - This one is hindu I believe and it invokes the vibration and energy of lakshmi, the goddess of abundance, wisdom, courage, manifestation and prosperity.
I chant them 108 times and for 40 days using mala beads. (They have 108 beads). The reason why you chant them 108 times is because there are 108 energy channels in the human body called "nadis" that goes through the heart center. Every 40 days, the physical body replaces it's mineral constituents, thereby becoming a new body.
If we have a new body, we get new cells. The cells have memory and this literally changes our DNA.
Now.... I also do prayers. I pray the hebrew prayer "Ana B'Koah". This removes negative energy and promotes positive energy.
