From a quick flick through, we have illuminati, the suppression of paganism, the lie of global warming, media manipulation, the new world order, codex alimentarius, Genetic Modification agenda, 911, constitutional erosion (including the American take over of Canada ), Bermuda Triangles, suppression of spiritual nature, ...

Pretty much all of them... I'm quite looking forward to finding 2 hours to spare...

I'll watch it sometime this week. Does it paint Esoteric as being connected to conspiracy (I'll find out for myself this week when I watch it). If so, this is an area I'm wondering about lately... How people choose to apply things to their agenda, their biases, their personal view of the world. (Like how anything and everything fits into an apocalyptic mold for those obsessed with Apocalyptic ideologies).

I just posted a few questions about symbols in the Symbols room. Are they just simply what they are, yet people apply what they see fit to them, and go with that ideology? In the conspiracy aspect, we see many applying a lot of negative, fearful tones to symbols, mysticism, the esoteric, etc. Is it just a matter of focus... does it just so happen that people choose to "see what they want to see" and "hear what they want to hear?"

I voted 'I don't know', but that is simply the simplest answer.

I have watched this previously, and it touches on a lot of things I consider to be serious issues ignored by mainstream media, but I'm not sure that all things are connected the way some people claim. For instance, I don't believe that all these conspiracies lead back to the same group of people, but I don't disbelieve it either. There are just too many threads to gather in order to weave the truth, so its probably easier to treat each piece individually.

And to further confuse my ability to form a cohesive opinion, I agree with the overall goals of some of the initiatives, like population reduction, but I can't stand behind the methods that are implied in these theories to already be in motion.

My take on conspiracy theories varies depending on the theory at hand. When people talk about vast, global conspiracies then I'm less inclined to believe it. As a political scientist and law student, I realize all too well that getting huge groups of people to agree on anything (much less keep it all secret) is no small task. Take your average meeting of Congress/Parliament/UN General Assembly for example. They have a hard time agreeing on much of anything unanimously or nearly so. And these are people who are (generally) trying to be open about their activities.

Here in the US, virtually everyone's favorite topic of conspiracy theory is the John F. Kennedy assassination. Things like that, where there may have been a small group of conspirators; united in a fairly straightforward goal (shoot a man in a car from concealment); and set to be completed at a very specific point in time, I'd have an easier time believing in. But then that also depends on how "out there" the theory is too. If someone told me that the ghost of Elvis Presley and a group of renegade aliens killed Kennedy, that I'd have to pass on. I mean, we all know Elvis is only hanging around for the peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

I don't think so, the section on the suppression of all but monotheistic religions would appear to indicate a certain resonance with the pagan / aboriginal belief systems. I feel that the title may simply be a bit contrived "Hidden Agenda"... which may kind of reflect badly on those areas traditionally associated with the word...

This isn't to say that there aren't conspiracies out there which point the finger directly at many esoteric traditions as being central to the hypotheses explored. Masonic tradition is often cited at the top of the hierarchy of puppet masters organising the New World Order, e.g., as are any organisation with 'Light' in the title...

Of course, any organisation which includes Arcanum in the title...now there is a bunch that need watching...

I watched half that film last night then got extremely tired after an hour. The first quarter or so talked about symbols, and conspiracy related, but the rest was very political, and fear centered as many conspiracy theories are. While watching it I thought to myself "Now this is something someone who wants to be paranoid about the world we live in, should watch"

Many conspiracy theorists are very much about being against the dominance and spreading of fear, yet at the same time they are spreading fear. One could say that education, shedding light on what's going on in the world at the higher levels of the system is important to know, but if we don't have the power to change the system, or will spend out entire lives fearing and fighting, then wouldn't one become psychologically pulled into being a part of the system, and in a sense enslaved by the very thing they are against, Fear? It would seem that the system of a New World Order is very much about attachment to and control over the material world. If one is utterly concerned about a New World Order, doesn't it point out one's attachment to the physical world as well?

This film started to confuse me when one of the major aspects of the conspiracy was that of Pantheism... There is a contradiction here - on the one hand the NWO is about control over humanity, and building huge corporations that control everything and in the process do a lot of destruction to the earth and on the other hand the NWO is about being Pantheistic, seeing the world in all it's parts as equally important, if not more important than humans. Isn't honoring, respecting, and caring for the earth the polar opposite of the destruction these world powers do on their journey towards world dominance? Is the conspiracy theorist of this film saying I'm being duped into caring about the earth?

I think these conspiracies of global dominance opens a doorway of reflection on personal life choices and perceptions... are we so attached to materialism as in money and personal survival, (not nature itself) that we lose trust in something higher, something spiritual for our personal selves? Regardless of what the higher echelons do, can it really touch the spiritual self? Would an atheist be more inclined to get attached to the perceived ramifications of the NWO than someone who has a spiritual afterlife perception of reality - would that soften the fear attached to such worldly things? Also, I think the disregard for the earth, as many do unconsciously, and quite often consciously, can be born of a self contained perception of the personal spirit and self being beyond ones temporary lifetime here.

I'll have to watch the other half and see where it takes things to get a clearer picture, but as of right now, I see a lot of contradictions that need some clarity.

I haven't voted on the poll yet, I'm just getting my thoughts together as you can tell they are wildly all over the place. I haven't thought on conspiracies in a while so it'll take me a short while to get collected I believe.

One of the things I do like about conspiracy theories is that they do bring in a lot of symbolism. Although it is often fear based, it can be useful to learn of symbols in a strangely interesting way... then washing off the fear perception attached to the ancient symbols, I may learn a new thing or two about mythology I hadn't known before

One of the things I don't like about conspiracy theories is the Fear bias / propaganda, it just gets too be too much, and puts a perception of the world into a very gloom and doom frame.
