Ancient memories?

Even I don't know what to make of this one.. I had a conversation with a young lady from Greece who was having some odd visions and thought she was going loopy. She came to me with them and my mind 'shifted gear'.. and I just wrote. It has been bugging me for some time. (Admin feel free to move it where you think most appropriate).

I'd be grateful for any ideas and input.. though I must say, as the synopsis for my next book, I quite like the idea.. let alone what else might surface as I write it! This is what was behind the poem 'Sisters' that I posted here.

No, dear, I think what you remember fits very well with my memories of you. Yes, I can relate to what you feel about not talking of royal blood, or saying you were a priestess.. after all, eveyone claims that sort of thing when shouting about past lives! But we were of the priesthood, you and I, and were the two halves of the Goddess. You, the bright, beautiful, warm Mother, and I the dark bringer of life and death. Yours was the visible power of growth and Sunlight and mine was the deep power of the Moon and the tides of life., that worked behind the scenes in the Holy of Holies, transmuting what we two, together, achieved for Her. Yours was the temporal power.. the royal blood determined your position in the eyes of men. Mine was a lowlier lineage in that life, born to the scribes class, yet I held the greater position of power within the priesthood, that was known only to the higher levels of the Temple. There was no rivalry between us, as we both knew that the work we did was equally holy, and it needed what we both gave, the bright and the dark, to maintain the Balance. But others used our positions and differing bloodlines for political intrigue, and factions sprang up around us. It was a grief to us.
The old man you dreamed was the High Priest who taught us both, you and I, and was indeed a powerful Mage, trained in the arcane secrets of Atlantis. We had known him there before and he reawakened our memories and retrained us.

You were born a princess in the House of Pharaoh. When you were very young, you fell in love with a young nobleman, and he with you. I remember seeing you laughing in the fountain court together, your golden hair ( your mother was from the isles of the north) touching the dark head. I envied you the knowledge of the love of a soulmate.
But, your position in the royal household had marked you for the priesthood early in life. It was a political decision.. the priesthood or a marriage of alliance, and you were the one chosen for Priestess.I had been dedicated to the Goddess as a child and grew up in the House of Virgins; you, as a princess, had been allowed to grow in the Palace, though you were trained in the ways of the Temple also. It was at this time that we met.I was already priestess, set apart.

Your love was killed to prevent the plans of the politicians going awry. Certain men had seen how the priesthood were ruling the hearts and souls of Egypt.. you, as Princess and Priestess, were supposed to get that power firmly back into the hands of the ambitious politicians. By murdering your love, you were denied the opportunity to spoil their plans.
You remember well, through your dreaming, little sister. It was I who stood behind you as the old Priest raised your love's image in the mirror pool. I who placed the scroll that was hidden with his body, to ensure that Anubis knew his name. For they had planned to remove him from existence in all the worlds, sending him onwards in anonymity. And it was we two, you and I, who worked to redress the balance that was broken.
But.. and this may be a comfort to you.. the sacrifice was necessary, for your loss turned you against the ambitions of power of those who sought to control you, and together, we helped steer Egypt towards its Golden age. Remember that love is never wasted, nothing ever wholly lost, death but a momentary pause between lives.

I remember the first time we worked the High Ritual together. I watched you from the dark room in the Temple with the eyes of the soul. You had travelled down the Nile, dressed as the Goddess, with the effigy of Osiris slain. You had stood, in love and grief, receiving the worship of the multitude, at the top of the steps outside the doors to the Inner Temple. You raised your arms and said the Words, and channelled all that power, holding it in like a lambent sun.

You turned and walked into the darkness of the Inner Temple, where the torchlight glimmered on gold and the shaved heads of the priests. You blessed them in the name of Isis, then continued to a darkened doorway and waited. Moments later, I lifted the Veil and you raised your hands to mine. Our eyes met in love and understanding, as I took the power you held in trust. There was a sigh and visible relief as you released it, and for me the jolt of lightning in my veins as I took it. I turned and the Veil fell back into place behind me as I entered the Holy of Holies to transmute the energy and offer it to the Goddess.

So.. if you are mad, my sister, then it is a madness we share.

Echo, this is causing a stirring within my own soul. When I wrote the poem 'A truth belied' you directed me to your own poem 'Sisters'.
When I read what you had expressed there I felt movement in my heart, something hard to put into words.

Your meeting with this lovely lady has sparked a reaction at a soul level for you, and as your soul speaks so you must listen to its wisdom. For therein lies the fabric of your existence. I feel that your connection with this lady's soul goes back a long way, to the days of which you speak... and who knows just how many lifetimes before or since?
When we connect with our twin souls, or aspects of Self.. those parts of Source that, like pieces of a jigsaw that link perfectly... help us make a quantum leap in our appreciation of our part in the great plan.
Have you shared your realisations with her? Does she feel that connection too?

I have had the honour to meet with a beautiful lady in this lifetime who has been with me, and I with her through much of our souls' journeying. We knew each other the moment we met... no need for questions, no 'getting to know you phase'... just a relieved and contented settling right back into the way we were.
Did you feel as though you knew her heart before she spoke? Did any other imagery come to you in regard to a shared journey?
Can you finish her sentences...

Indeed this would be a wonderful synopsis for a book... but is it fiction or an exploration into Self-awareness and the nature of reincarnation..?
Definitely one that needs to be shared.. and appreciated by those who will experience a pulling on the soul strings.

..And still I draw away from sharing my inner feelings. I must create myself a mantra to get through... over... around this!
I do not have the eloquence or the vocabulary to do justice to the songs within my soul that gain in volume and clarity the longer I am here.
I felt I'd returned home at Dendera. My feet were leaden as I tried to walk away at the end of the day, my heart was being torn into shreds and I knew that my whole journey had been about that moment of reconnection, not only with Dendera and the Goddess Hathor, but with a plethora of implicate connections and meanings.

I feel a connection at such a level with you dear Echo, though I cannot express it the way you are able, I nevertheless await our first meeting in this life with anticipation. The circumstances surrounding our initial meeting speak of a higher order at work.

Write this book Echo, for through the writing a fuller picture will emerge and you'll find yourself planning a sequel!

The young lady and I have never met in person, but yes, there was an immediate connection.. like meeting and old and dear friend, or a long lost daughter perhaps. And yes, I shall write the story.. when I get time to breathe amongst the other projects I'm tied up with!
But I know what you mean about fortuitous meetings

This is lovely Echo, and proves to me even further that you have touched many lives in many times. I strongly encourage you to write this book, I think it will reveal truths and awaken memories in many people.

I have a "soul friend" we discovered each other at a hospital that we both worked at many years ago. I know what you mean about "finishing each other's sentences", Merlyn. It is an incredible feeling when you meet someone and instantly know a much older connection exsists.

I've got a mate with whom this phrase often applies. He tends to recall my memories, and I , his. We also have never met in person, but understand that we both share a very strong bond.
