I have very limited knowledge of symbols in general. I mean, you can not really type a symbol into a search engine on the net unless you have some basic info about it. (symbol's name, etc, etc)

I was laying in bed, and realized there was a dead, dried up old pine needle on the floor. I picked it up by the base where the needles are joined and held it up in front of my eyes. I could not help but think of how much it resembled the symbol I assigned to this post...

What is the name of that symbol? (so that I can try to learn a bit about it)

I tried to mouse over it, but all I get is a tool tip that says what it represents, "Nature based, Earth Spirituality."

    Thanks for the help.

It is the Awen symbol of Druidry, the three rays.
Wiki shows it in full with the three dots:

There is an article here you might find of interest which explains the symbol in detail.

I was checking out the link you provided, and I thought I would add the story (myth) behind the origin of this symbol.

This symbol is part of the Druid Revival tradition that some of us are familiar with today. It is said that Einigen, a giant who was considered to be the first being in the universe, came upon three rays of light descending from the Heavens. These three rays were a word of three syllables that were the true meaning of the God Celi, creator of all life. This word is Awen (Ah-Oh-En), which is also representative of the three branches of Druidry.

The three rays of light were also bearing of all the knowledge in the universe. Einigen took this knowledge newly acquired, and carved it into three rowen staves. He carved this information in a series of straight and slanted lines, hoping others could learn what was bestowed upon him. Unfortunately, once others would see the staves, they would worship them, instead of learning from the knowledge written on them. It is said the giant anger was so great, he "burst asunder and died".

When a year and a day passed after Einigen's death, Menw came upon the giant's skull, and saw the three rowen staves growing out of the mouth. Unlike others, Menw learned to read the writings inscribed on the staves, and became famous for the knowledge he had gained.

Each ray can be associated with many of the triads in Druidry. The first ray is called Gwron (goo-Ron), and represents the knowledge of Awen. The second ray is called Plennydd (PLEN-nith) and is the power of Awen. The final ray is Alawn (AH-lon) and is the peace of Awen. These three representations are also the three ranks of Druidry: Bard is knowledge, Druid is Peace and Ovate is Power.
"Those who know others are wise, those who know themselves are enlightened."
