Worship Problems!

Hi There,

This may not be a Gnosis category, but I couldn't find anything close to what I'm about to say. Admin's feel free to move this to the right place, and please don't delete!

Well, I am having problems with worship to a god, I have been brought up to believe in Jesus and the trinity. So one God, and Jesus as God representation & the holy Spirit as another representation and such.

But I believe that Jesus was not a real person, or that he was but he is not the only person who can achieve Christ-Consciousness. I believe we all can, through our own path. As long as they reach the same point like spokes on a wheel.

I have recently had a sort of self revelation, and I wish to pray and or worship to Neptune, as Neptune is the astrological representation of Kether. And Kether is the representation of light and God. Is he not? and I like to practice the Kaballah and Gnosis.

What I am trying to get at is that, Could I worship, pray & meditate to Neptune and the representations of Neptune like Isis Worshipers.

In other words, I would be a Poseidon Worshiper. But I am still not to sure.

Please tell your thoughts.

You know mine already, Liam.. like spokes in a wheel, indeed, it is the centre that matters, not which path you choose.

Have you thought that by taking Poseidon as your symbol of focus.. and that is all it is when you are aware that all the gods are one God.. the fish symbols tie in very closely with Jesus?

I personally believe you are right in thinking we can all attain that christ consciousness eventually, and that it is the goal our souls are aiming for. I also know that each of us may be right and wrong in our beliefs..but personally, I don't think it matters. I feel that if we see a goal and make that the object of our life's quest, living wholeheartedly what we believe and keeping our hearts and minds open to growth, I don't think we will go far wrong.

In CS Lewis's Narnia books, there is a young soldier who has, all his life, been a follower of Tash, who goes through the stable and emerges to find Aslan. When the young man questions this, Aslan tells him that although he had worshipped Tash, in truth his worship had been for Aslan. In other words, in the context of the book (The Last Battle) although the boy had named the object of his devotion Tash, and given it the face and symbolism of Tash, the inner truth behind the love in his heart had been for the force represented by Aslan.

This is worth thinking about.. no matter what face of divinity you hold in your mind, it is the truth of the force behind it that counts.

This is the very perspective I have. It is like The Masks of Eternity by Joseph Campbell, where we have mythologies built around aspects of our spiritual and physical worlds we exist within. These mythologies show expressions of the manifested reality that is born from the Creative force of the Divine. Gods are expressions of aspects of this Force of living creation, each playing a role in the unfoldment of awareness of the Divine. The Divine is beyond the divisible facets of itself, but those facets hold the spark of the Divine. Like a cup of water from the ocean, a part of the whole.

And Kether is the representation of light and God. Is he not? and I like to practice the Kaballah and Gnosis.

As to Kether, I can not be sure that it is God itself, I think God is that which is beyond the Veils of Ain Soph Aur. I think Kether is the highest level of the light that we humans can comprehend that we relate to the Divine, but God is incomprehensible and beyond Kether.

Yes, I agree. All paths lead to the one, so you should work with what you have a natural affinity for. There should be much you can learn from working with the Titanic energies.

Liam, my advise would be to follow what path rings true to your Spirit self. I have followed many paths in my life, trying to find Truth. I have come to believe that all paths lead to One Spirit and that love and acceptance are the guide. I think that whatever name you choose to give the face of God will be acceptable. We all come to our own truths if we follow our innerself. Love has no boundries, Truth and insight can be gained by many paths, and God is that big.

To the amazement I beleive I am a follower of the God Sophia and or actualy Isis, Mother Nature, The Super-Conscience, The Light, The Christ within us!

All Connected As one To the one! Whether we call it God, or we call it the Holy Spirit. For our spirits are all connected to the Holiest of spirits the Holy Spirit/ Godhead.

In a way The Holy Spirit is the original God,
Then She Created The Father to give us 'The Son' Free-Will to choose between either the above or the below, which neither is wrong for both are the one, as above so below. And So we choose to follow the light or the dark, the Awakened, or the Blinded.
The Christ, or the Anti Christ. Which all of these things are within us all...
All of us feel a deeper calling though to follow the Christ within us, this is our spirit within us urging us. But we also have temptations to follow the blinded through purely materialistic qualities givin to us through the Anti-Christ within us, which is our father within us.

After a combination of some reading of the Gnostic scriptures, reading of the Bible/Catholic sources, some reading of the Kabbalah, some Taoist study...and some spiritual work I find myself looking at it kinda like...

-The God head (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), one God/three persons.
-God is not male or female, but both. Androgynous so to speak.
-From the one source comes All things.
-So if from the source comes Father so too comes Mother, if Son so too comes Daughter, and the He and Her combined into one spirit via the action of the Holy Spirit.
-Hence The Father (/mother), The Son (/daughter), and the Holy Spirit.

-God is outside you, God is inside you.
-The barrier lies in the middle, the barrier is our carnal body to which our awareness is attached.
-To get there from here: Travel through the wold of action (gotta get through that dense carnal body...keyword is "dense"), through the world of formation, through world of creation, and to the doorway of the world of emanation.
-Problem 1: If those worlds are not united within one's self then they are separated (no bridge, no "open door").
-Problem 2: The union of these worlds appear to occur from the inside out.
-We could use or may need some help from the source or one connected to the source to travel with, through, in (Christians would say Jesus Christ).


NOTES:
1. Gnostic scripture indicates Jesus' feminine counterpart is Sophia.
2. Taoist meditation guides through various unions.
3. As someone pointed out in another post, Yoga means union.
4. I just read this the other day: "Elohim is El plus Eloah to make the plural word Elohim. That union of El (God) and Eloah (Goddess) spells Elohim".
*It seems the message repeats...union, union, union.


In the beginning the first one was immortal while in a whole state, but at some point there was "separation" (why? pick your story and interpretation). After that "separation" immortality was lost. How much separation or many different separations occurred is unclear. The path back to the original state is or should include union(s).

Well liam, I think what everyone said is right. Also, from reading the gnosticism materials I've come to the conclusion that there are two people personified as christ.

Although as for christ consciousness, whats his name.. its not theosophy its the guy that broke away, on wikipedia he said that Christ consciousness was about finding the merging point of all ideas, how everything that is percieved is just a perception, a play on words of the same theme, finding that and being in a harmonic with it, able to cross translate concepts throughout all the points of relation is chist consciousness.

I tend to agree, according to Dan Winter, fractalization is the harmony point of interaction of all the elements in play, that in harmony things become fractal and have no loss of energy. Which really means no friction. (The ultimate desired condition for expansion)

Its hard to imagine though that there would be a spiritual "way of being" that wouldn't encounter friction in this world, save maybe one that truly could relate to all principals. I made this quote awhile ago "Surely knowledge must be the invention of conditions" In that I realized in meditation that I made a full 360 degree rotation of judgement, fullfilling all requirements of my judgements and still never being satisfied, ending up at the exact same place i started but with the difference in that I was finally able to understand judgement for what it was. Dissatisfaction. We have parts of ourselves that are never satisfied, no matter what it attains, learns, or does. It will never be happy. Thats because it is only happy being dissatisfied. Its still an important part of our being though too.

Anyways, its all a part of the path, and theres no hurry to get to the "finish". Actually, as a sidenote, we dont really "go" anywhere, we actually have to be subject to many "complexes" just to be able to mantain the "human" experience in this reality. So enjoy the show while it lasts =)
