Tao Te Ching is really fun to read, I think that most old texts take a lot more work to understand, because the words were used with different associations and cultural context, so there is actually a lot of room for creative reading.

I'm currently listening to an audio recording by Wayne Dyer where he speaks of the Tao which I have read previously - the tao te ching by lao tzu, an ancient Chinese writing written thousands of years ago and still translated by many over the years in many languages. I've been inspired to read it again. I particularly like the translation by Stephen Mitchell which is available linked from Wikipedia to the City University of New York here. Of course there are tons of different, but similar versions in english of the original which can be found on a plethora of sites online by googling or going to scribd or you can pick up a copy.
Here's a version available online from Carleton University enjoy!![]()

I've been really feeling it lately, and I've been getting in tune with a much more peaceful state of consciousness. I am internalizing each part one day at a time, meditating on my life and where I am, brining honesty to the forefront of my thoughts.
It is so simply effective. I'm reuniting with my self awareness. Personally I am quite busy, self induced often, and have stress that I am releasing profoundly. There's a level of trust that is liberating, just letting the course of life be as it naturally is, without a forceful will is very transformative.

I love this text. This is THE text, imo. I have never gotten so much insight out of a single work. And Mitchell's translation, I agree! Kudos to Lao Tzu, he was the man.
To anyone who is seeking a deep understanding of this text the following link will no doubt hold great value:

I'm rather partial to Blakney's translation, but maybe because that was my first. Absolutely love the link you posted, Shunyata... that is an incredibly useful resource! Thank you for sharing it.
