Forced to be a Pentecostal for 22 years, then I met my husband who is catholic.

And stopped being a pentecostal and became an agnostic, until I met Liam, We discussed Esoteric subjects, and Reincarnation Which I already believed in.

And then discussed Astrology and such.

Liam was the reason that I got started on the path of Esoteric Christianity, it just rung a bell with me...

Nice to meet you. I was brought up Catholic myself and the spiritual aspect resonates with me, but not the religious. Those of us born in the West are culturally predisposed to starting off our lives with Christianity for the most part, as it's part of the societal structure brought over from our European ancestors. Astrology is a fascinating subject as well. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself here. Just be curious, ask questions and share from your heart

I'm sure you'll find a lot of information and helpful people here to carry you further in your search. I think at this point, the most important thing for you is to remain a little sceptical so you don't end up trading off one set of limitations for another. Occult comminuties are full of egos as well as wisdom, its more important to find whats real and true for you through practice and observation then to accept anything at face value especially when it will have a very real impact on you.

Faith can't be force-fed.. at some point we all start thinking for ourselves.. or have to accept that we will be sheep. It doesn't matter what faith anyone follows, I think, as long it is the one their own heart feels is right.. we all have different needs through the course of the evolution of the soul, and faith, belief and understanding evolve also.

That's interesting... I was raised Pentecostal and wouldn't really agree with that statement. It's a pretty oppressive denomination that is VERY against anything esoteric or occult in nature. I suppose that could encourage a strong reverse reaction that could lead someone to look into mystic Christianity or gnosticism, but I haven't heard of it happening very often (though I could be wrong about this, myself and the OP make 2 at the very least!).
