I happened to come across this video on History Television and watching it now. Found it on Youtube and thought I'd share. Very interesting.

Surely this will be interesting to discuss once we've watched it

Ok so I watched all parts and have watched like videos on youtube. This documentary was good but left out important astrological info.
The wheel in the video represents the solar eclipse equinox coinciding with the center of the galaxy to make the spokes= two crosses in a circle.



However another video I watched says that the earths symbol is a circle with a cross and this intersects with the cross made between the sagittarius and the heart of the scorpion which is in the middle of our milky way galaxy. It intersects with sign ophicus the serpent holder, the serpent was pointed out in the video. Also we started the calender in leo and it will end in leo (where the sun is). Adding up to the lion, the eagle (sag) and the scorpion. AS well as the taurus/bull who is the earth. That's why these signs were selected in prophecy.
Important to me because my earth is in sag, ehich is pretty rare the sun was at the perfect horizon at my birth time in leo. Astrologers do not often look at peoples earth sign in natal charts.

The sphinx initially had a lion's face, but later a human's was carved over it.

My fiance is a scorpio/sag cusp and he got a tattoo of a dragon (the serpent ophicus), a phonenix ( eagle/sag rising) and he was totally unaware of this until I told him. He also admitted he wanted a scorpion and an eagle! Synchronis to the max.....
Also the blue star is akin to sirius the dog star who is blue but appears like Sauron's LOTR red eye, and is said to be visible just before this time as an omen.
pps. some say it will happen 0ct 2011 instead, and the bible says man knows not what hour... even though a number was encoded found by an isreali mathematician found 2012 will be the date from the bible.

I found this video to be interesting, well done visually of course as it is a high end production, but felt it was a little sensationalist which is not surprising though. I also found some of the quatrains to be such a long stretch from general statements to specific current events. It's not uncommon for people to apply such prophecies to recent events so as to feel some connection to them.

However, that being said, the last centuries developments escalating so quickly on a global, communications, technological level (knowledge increase) coupled with the long standing significance pointing to 2012 does bring an interesting case to consider about who we are, where we're going and how time plays a role in our purpose.

When the video spoke of the spiral of galaxies being unknown to the ancients, at least we thought it was, it definitely raising questions about how much they really did know and how? That also coupled with caduceus and tree of life diagram pointing to DNA it's definitely a curious thing to wonder how much they really did know on a microcosmic and macrocosmic level.

Were symbols a normal, important part of communicating during ancient times? It seems nowadays whenever symbols are spoken of they are attributed to mysterious conspiracies. Symbols seem to generally only be accepted as normal if they are simply corporate logo's relating strictly to retaining relation to business. Is it just that symbols were used more frequently on a broader scale historically by pagans, then when paganisms fizzled only a few symbols remained as "normally accepted" such as business, Christian, coat of arms, etc?
