How do you balance numerology?

Say for instance you have a name or something that isn't the most auspicious in terms of numerology. Are there ways to balance it?

I'm thinking in terms of Feng Shui, you work with what you have and you make balancing adjustments accordingly to create the most auspicious atmosphere. How can then, this type of concept work in numerology? Is numerology too fixed to be flexible?

Hmm. Yes indeed. Many of us do it without realising it.

e.g. If our parents named us Algernon Augustus Alfred... At home we would always be Algernon (Or, heaven forbid... little Algie... and on naughty days the full "Algernon Augustus!")

It should, then be no surprise for our loving parents to discover that with our friends we have transmuted into Alfred, Alf, Alfie... ANYTHING but Algernon!

One day we may be lucky enough to grow into Algernon, but at the moment, there is NO WAY that resonance is going to be us!

Funnily enough, I once worked with a chap who was introduced to me as Billy. So, obviously, I called him Billy every time we had a meeting. Finally, after a couple of months, he said, "You know... when I was a boy, they called me Billy. Now that I am a man, my name is Bill." Turned out that he was renowned for this phrase, and all his colleaugues took much delight in introducing him as he wished not to. Of course, the name he still had to grow into may have been William, but he was on the road...

Anyway... to cut a long story short... Not working for you? Change it to something which resonates more happily with your persona.

On the Numerology side, there is actually a tradition in which babies names are chosen that the number resonances may bring an auspicious life.

But what if a name can't be changed for instance? Are there alternative ways of bringing energy into the equation to create a balance?
