Qabalah, Tree of Life, Sacred Geometry Ka, Ba, and Kabalah?

I'm wondering about the connection. I've been to a number of sites, researching, well more like googling, and different sites say different things and I'm not about to consider wikipedia as the authoritative documentation on this.

Ka and Ba are ancient Egyptian spiritual beliefs about the spirit and the soul, but the terms seem to be used interchangeably, and maybe that's because today many do not have a clear definition between what the spirit and soul are.

From what I've been reading, and again this has been interchanging site to site, Egyptians considered Ba to be be soul, (even though there are other parts to the self/soul), the universal soul that is always united with divinity, and returns to oneness upon death. The Ka is the spirit, the part of us that is united here in the personality self and stays in the earth. It's the energy of the self that is connected to the earth plane, and becomes a ghost upon death that remains in the earth word.

The Ka may also be related to Karma, the cycle of birth and death of the spirit.

The Egyptians did high magick rituals to unite the Ka and Ba, so that the spirit could travel from the earth plane to the soul dimension and back again. Possibly this is what the pyramids were for in their shafts pointing towards the central star in the belt of Orion, which they considered to be a Divine place, possibly a heaven.

The mummification rituals and practices, as well as putting objects into the chambers/tombs of the dead were part of retaining the Ka essence of that person because the Ka energy imprints on the physical world and is united with it.

I also read that possibly The Tree of Life is a map of the spirits routes to the soul, in the paths, thus Ka travels to the place of the Ba.

Now, I think I'm just beginning to scratch the surface and would love some more insight into this.

So I'm wondering if KaBa-lah is derived from Ka and Ba and maybe the end of the word points to the unification of these?

I was wondering, and it could have no relation at all, but thought I'd throw it out there... is there a historical/etymological relation between Kaballah and the Kaaba stone and the word/name Allah?

Hmm. Interesting. I can't answer your question, but the correct transliteration is Ka'Aba.

Literally it means "the Cube", but interestingly the apostrophe brings out the Ka of the original post, and Aba (at a stretch) takes you to the Aramaic "the father". My understanding of the Ka, is as a reference to "the life force" (the Ba being the "personality').

When we consider the etymology of Allah, we find it to be a simple contraction of the arabic words Al and ilah. ("the" and "god").

Ka ba ilah - "life force" "personality" "god" (?)

Ka'ab al (i)lah - "the cube" (of the) "god" (?)

Much to ponder... and you have sent me off on a complete aside involving Gematria and the root of modern measurement...
    ... I feel a thread coming on...

Well cube= earth as well. So the perfected earth or new age, or new world order....
Saturn is connected thus, and to earth, as well as tau and the masonic checkerboard...

Forgive me for not being as knowledgeable, as I am still learning much since my time started here. What's important about Orions Belt? Im assuming theres a deep Astrological meaning there. I havent touched up on it yet.but it will ease my confusion some.

This is a great thread as well. My main focus is studying the Qabalah now, so perhaps when I get a firm understanding and connection with it, I will have something more constructive to say!

As always, thank you for a mind opening thinking.

kinda off topic but orions belt lines up with the pyramids in egypt, and will align this december 3 2012, orion takes aim as the archer at the pleiades or the great bear of artemis who circumambulates the north star of kether or crown chakra in the tyr rune and middle pillar mysteries.

To expand the cube in mecca is called the ka ba and jewish men wear a black cube on their head for various reasons,
saturn is earth and spirit, as they circumambulate the square, it fills with thier sins and turns black,
saturn is also associated with karma as described.

saturn or qaballistic saturn is associated with form, the tree of life has hexagramis form, although the hexagram is pre star of david and represents more acturately tipareth or the sun, like honey bees combs and that mystery.....
