I saw her, but left before she gave blessings. She is legit. She has a this little altar with crystals and stuff, and blesses clay to be put on your forehead for attunement. Pretty cool
I'm not sure if anyone knows who she is, Amritananadmayi Devi is a woman who people are flocking to feel a divinely inspired, motherly kind of unconditional love.
She's considered India's Hugging Saint.

I saw her in London about 5 years ago. The energy I felt when anywhere near her was simply tremendous.
Unfortunately, the queue was incredibly long and highly disorganised and I didn't make progress by many feet in the three hours I waited!
Plus, one is required to approach her on one's knees for some distance. Having very bad arthritis and a recent knee replacement, I was completely unable to kneel, so decided in the end to call it a day and go home. I felt it was very much an event for her faithful followers in their white robes, not for people such as me in a dress, and unable to kneel.
It's not her fault, simply a sheer lack of understanding by the organisers...as when I was leaving, so were many disappointed elderly and infirm folk like me.
I have to admit that I had a few tears as I drove away... unwanted? I don't think so... inappropriate? hmm.. not sure. It's hard to put my finger on it, but I definitely felt I had no place there.
Sad, because Amma is sheer magic and I would have so appreciated a hug from this incredible woman. Ah well.
