Sometimes it is a bunk of hooey. I read several descriptions then work with the stone' s vibes. I have concern about the mining practices, but I love gemstones! Maybe they didn't smoke enough? jk
Crystals do what they say they do?
I was reading a book on crystals this morning and something just doesn't feel right, it seems too flaky. Maybe it's just the way it was written but statements of what stones do for health and warding off radioactive activity and stuff like that, it just sounds like theoretical mumbo jumbo.
What do you think? Do you think there is a limit to what stones do, and do you think some books just go too far in making statements about what crystals do?
I love crystals and I think they have a lot of energy that is spiritual, but some things I just kind of roll my eyes at thinking whoa... that writer is either full of it, making it up, developing outlandish associations or has smoked way too much dope.

If there is anything special about crystals or quartz I wouldn't get too particular in what it does. I think it's just supposed to be an amplifier for anything you want to do. I was attracted to gem stones when I was young.
I find some larger crystals do help enhance the ambiance within the home, I have a couple selenite lamps, and a few Himalayan rock salt lamps having them on really does make one feel at home. I once had a 100 gallon fresh water aquarium, and most of the larger stones I used were of quartz crystals, it was quite an amazing display, I loved it. If I ever get the chance to dig up some of those pictures I'll have to post them.
clear quartz are amplifiers of energy or programming.
