I was at the gym and Dr. Oz was on, and I was surprised to see a display of a Reiki treatment.
What do you think? I'm not sure what I think, other than it's a good thing for it to be in the mainstream, but do you think of the woman's sudden response when asked how her headache was after the brief treatment?
He also said his wife is a Reiki Master.
This segment seems to have been edited down, but you get the gist.
The Meaning of Life is to Eat the Apple - Me
Wisdom comes from asking questions
Nothing really matters, love is all we need. - Madonna
I predict the weather will be unpredictable this year - Sylvia Browne
An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind - Gandhi
If it doesn't make sense, it's usually not true. - Judge Judy
Yah, I was sad to see that because I think skeptics would immediately pick up on that and be like "What? That is such fluff"
It's sad because it's difficult enough to have skeptics take these things even the most minimally seriously, and her response seemed so quick it screams "actor". I think it just made it seem inauthentic which is a shame because there is so much positive potential in such things being brought into the mainstream awareness.
I had high hopes when I saw this on the tv at the gym, then watching it on youtube and hearing the audio, my hopes were somewhat dashed.

I'm familiar with this lady from YouTube already and I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was totally genuine, though I'll never know for sure.
I'm noticing all kinds of "whacky" things becoming mainstream, but you know, I tend to agree with most of them anyway so I don't mind at all. I think mankind really is evolving and what is considered "normal" is going to change too.
