When you are too good with energy you become too popular

With everything there requires balance, and holding back. When pushing forth making a great effort, being as crafty as a raven, or a spider, you can make things unimaginable. But when you become very good at something you become of utility. If you learn to summon a great deal of energy you become a source of energy. When you learn to visualize or perform an exercise powerfully you become of utility for that.

So with everything you do and try to be good at. Do something you would not be afraid of becoming a tool of utility.

Basically what I'm trying to say is hold back. Many people suffer maladies impeding them from achieving knew heights. Maybe this is a blessing.

Your view reminds me of the teaching (Jnana yoga I think) that says you should fully commit to whatever you are doing. Or, don't resist what the universe is giving you (be it good or bad).

Acceptance, from this viewpoint is a very holy discipline.

I remember a statement by GI Gurdjieff, the Fourth Way teacher, that said that most of our social interactions and society itself are all based on sexual attraction. He said that whenever you look at a person with lustful eyes you are 'spending' some of your energy. Certainly food for thought...
