Anyone see the movie Magnolia? I watched it last night, it's really good, and won lots of awards.
In the movie there's a kid who's a genius Stanley Specter that goes on a game show. The first thing I noticed was when the kid was in the library studying with a lot of books on the table, the most clearly evident book title is The History of Freemasonry.
Then I noticed something strange as the game show was to begin a little later in the movie. The host before going backstage is talking to a man. The hosts name is Jimmy Gator and the guy beside him says "You with me, Jimmy?" Jimmy says, "The book says we may be through with the past but the past ain't through with us." to which Burt replies, "We met upon the level and we're parting on the square."
I thought, ok that sounds like freemasonry. Then I rewound it a bit to listen again and noticed burts arms around Jimmy's shoulder and on his pinky finger was a ring with the freemasonry logo.
Then when we see the stage for the game show the blue glass has symbols in a checkerboard layout including a Freemasonry symbol. You can see it at the 25 second mark in the trailer.
It's a great movie. Long, lots of character building.
I think I just got something, something clicked I didn't think about... Jimmy say's he doesn't remember something, and I think I realize why. Don't want to say to not spoil it for others, but if you watched it you may know what I'm talking about.
It also had reference to Exodus throughout the movie.
