I just keep wondering, how much darker is her imagery going to get? Is there a limit?

I saw a cover image of Lady Gaga for Judas with an upside down cross below the letters Gaga which I think clearly look like "six six".

I understand the disdain for fundamentalists who are suppressive and twist and use religion as a tool to justify their anger, prejudice etc.

However, if Lady Gaga is going to dis Jesus that's not the real focus, she's missed the mark, and is blaming the "victim", not the cause of the corruption.

I think a lot of people who are against organized religion, Christianity, aren't really against Jesus himself, but rather they are against the negativity that is present in the minds of fundamentalists.

I see Jesus as being a symbol of many things, including as a victim of the political/corporate/ruling corruption of the world, precisely the corruption which many people are against. I think the political powers that tortured and killed Jesus, are as alive and active today as they were then, continuing their corruption, and the evidence is everywhere on the news (and not always on the news).

It's sad that the real message Jesus taught about love has been lost because of the way religion has twisted it into a doomsday, suppressive tool to separate people and life-long worry about escaping "Hell". So I think people aren't really against Jesus, because he was about Love, what people are against is those who use Jesus as an idol to embellish their ego's in many negative ways. You know, the self-righteous, my way or the highway attitude and all the dogma damning everything that exists in the world that doesn't fit into their fundamentalist worldview...

Again, if Lady Gaga is pointing the finger at Jesus, and not those corrupt powers that killed him, I think she's totally off the mark. We'll see what the video portrays.

If it portrays Jesus as less than loving, that will be quite unfortunate. If it portrays the corrupt powers as the antagonist to her point, then I'll realize she gets it.

A lot of people confuse the Church with Jesus, and confuse the Church with God. I know a lot of Christians who do not clearly define a difference between the man made organization of the church and God.

I think it's an ugly song. The video will likely be really, well, you know. "Hooker, prostitute, wench..." I guess since she's playing Mary Magdalene in the video she's referencing. I think the shoe on her head is supposed to be a pilgrims shoe, which probably refers to bringing Christianity to the West.

The song was supposed to come out on April 19th, the week when Passover starts, but was released early, maybe the video will come out on the 19th?

I understand the art/pushing boundaries for attention thing, but is this all there is... to push boundaries you have to go down to that dark of a level. Are we that desensitized we have to be exposed to things that wreak evil to pay attention? That's pretty sad.

Apparently they've created a "new jerusalem" in the video, it's a little too anti-christ, blasphemously intended for me. I mean, like if she went to such extremes in blasphemous imagery attached to Islam she'd surely be done for.

I understand art and pushing boundaries, but I think there comes a point when the question has to be asked, why is it necessary to go there, are we the masses that dulled to the magic and beauty of life that we need stimulation of this kind? She's obviously trying to portray herself as an anti-christ with the push in this direction for the ultimate attention. Like the antichrist is myth about being a deceiver, so I'm guessing she'll be "holy" in this video to portray being positive in an ironic, twisted kind of way.

I think, like everything else she's done so far in attaching herself to famous icons in the music industry, she's taking it to the next place and attaching herself to the most famous story in the world. Another attachment for personal gratification to fulfill her ego's desire for fame. It's interesting, it will never be enough, as is the very nature of the ego. She's rushing through things, escalating her attachment to fame images as such a fast rate. Maybe she's concerned there won't be any opportunity in the near future so go through it all asap?

I don't know how much darker she can make her imagery, there comes a point where the image will have to change. Like how long can you stay there. I suspect, or wonder if, it will after this video, as it's building the new jerusalem which is about the 2nd coming of christ, maybe she'll transform herself into having an enlightened image, from demon to angel and thus the people that now have distaste for her will adore her for having gone through the journey, like the descent into hell and the resurrection kind of motif.

Ok so I think you are all wrong, I hope, hope, hope what she is doing is calling out the catholic church on their centuries old show. We all know that they have abused and desecrated many parts of the bible. Thats just historical fact. There have been way to many Popes, with too much power, and an entire religion in their hands, as well as English kings making stupid demands. Some of these have recently come to light in the past years. One of which being the Gospel of Judas. Broken and scattered but still mendable. Ill get back to that later. First let me state the background comments from Gaga that make me think this Judas movement is deeper than just pushing boundaries and shock value showiness.

Everyone seems highly worried that Lady Gaga has a song focusing entirely on Judas. It is some how forgotten that he was as much of a disciple as anyone else. And I am not up to date on my theology but from what I have been reading historically Judas never meant to betray Christ entirely. I can't quote exactly but I read that Judas turned him into the romans, in relation to current war and political tides, hoping it would change what was happening, allowing them to then release Jesus and continue the teachings. There was supposedly an agreement along these lines, the romans lied. The romans took Judas' info on Jesus' whereabouts and we all know they then crucified him. Judas never wanted this to happen, he then is driven to commit suicide because of it. Supposedly that is how it goes, so ultimately Judas was the cause yes, but not intentionally. On this subject you constantly hear people saying that the Bible could never have skewed information because God would never let it happen. If that stands true, then you must believe that God NEEDED Judas to betray Jesus. Thats how the story had to go, it is said in scripture as such. Jesus was told it had to be this way that he must die. Judas was an important part to making this happen. So if anything Judas is more holly than the other disciples to me. He did all the same things, but then really played one of the ultimate roles in starting Christianity. Without Judas, there would be no betrayal, therefore no crucification, and then no resurrection, which means no Christian Religion. So if you call yourself Christian you should be hailing Judas.

Back to the Gospel, I remember a few years ago when there was a National Geographic documentary on the Gospel of Judas, finally information was available on his side of the story. But with that I watched on and realized the problems with all of it, there were literally hundreds of manuscripts of Gospels. All destroyed by the church. And only four were preserved. The manipulation is distressing, not only do we have to question why those 4 were chosen hundreds of years ago, but we must wonder why the church got rid of everything else years later. We have to wonder what Judas had to say. Think about it, the entire religion maybe a farce. 4 out of 12 disciples isn't an accurate view of what happened. What if the other 8 disagreed. If 4 people said something is orange, and 8 people said it was pink, but you destroyed the only record of those 8, we would forever only know that 4 people agreed on an object being orange. That does not make a situation truthful, nor is it a good sample. 4 out of hundreds? It is not the best representation.

Now we must ask. Why? What did the church have to hide that they destroyed every historical document about their 'most important figure in history' the person who they worshiped more than life itself. Its a RELIGION, everything is sacred, every map rock, cloth, testimony. Unless there was some kind of bashing ideas between documents. Still not a real reason to do something so heinous. Especially destroying gospels that seem highly important, Mary Magdalene, Mother Mary, Joseph, what did they have to say in their gospels? We will never know, thank you midevil church.

I have also seen a documentary from the history channel in which they claim to have found documentation of gospels on Jesus early days. Him as a child (which must be interesting given Jesus must have had a life before the age of 30, I'd love to know what he did. What childhood as a God was like) Well I doubt his childhood was any different than anyone else, I doubt his illusion, or prophecy of holiness, call it what you want depending on what side of the debate you are, came until adulthood. Well anyway, these documents have stories of him sining. One of which was an instance when Jesus was 8 or 9, an pushed his friend of the roof, killing him. He then is said to have raised his first person from the dead, rushing down to do so in fear of being punished. And he did so successfully. Which gospel this was in? I am not sure? Maybe Mother Mary? Now do you wonder why her gospel was destroyed? Any reports of sining, marriage, anything of the sort did not fit into the midevil churches plans for the future organized religion. They were therefore omitted. And then destroyed.


And I think this is what Gaga is heading with for the video of Judas. I hope she is aiming to call out the Church on how they destroyed their own religion. Her own religion. Gaga at least was previously catholic, and still believes in God, whether she is in a religion or not thats an important thing to remember. I think she wants to start reforming things through education, people follow in blind faith. And I think she wants to call a culture out on that, and maybe it is sacrilegious to call up faults of the church. But so what? They are the CHURCHES faults, not the public. Calling them out should be necessary. I think she will push for a baptism of culture in a sense that she will push against organized religion, and praise personal relations with God.

As it should be. Why is someone interpreting the bible and telling you what to believe ever good? Especially about modern day politics, movies, music? Things that weren't covered in the bible. Or more importantly basing opinions and hate on modern subjects on a book that may be corrupt, and specifically written and manipulated by a money/power hungry King in England. And now I reprise.

Its genius. And I am excited. If the figures in Christianity really aren't fully who we thought they were, if the stories are skewed, if the events are different, if the church is corrupt. We must remember. Destroying something does not mean what is left is absolute truth. That's not how life works, so why is religion an exception?

I think we all, well most of us who think outside what society dogmatically teaches, know that the bible has been mistranslated, skewed, altered in many ways for many political purposes and the church has had it's own hand in such things. The Church is not God, although the church and it's man-defined hierarchal ways wish to blur the lines. If she's calling out corruption of the church on many things we've noted and discussed on this forum, great. I think we're in a time with Neptune in Pisces where more people will be questioning what is true in spirituality and what isn't on a broader scale anyway. However, I think she's way too interested in projecting herself as a heroic anti-christ figure, which is disturbingly twisted and in line with the myth of the antichrists method of seducing the masses. I think she's damaging the collective consciousness, and unfortunately kids are most impressionable who are soaking up her imagery. Her imagery is being absorbed into the minds of the general masses with a lot of it being recognized as "satanic" obviously attached to it.

Most people who understand the churches use of imagery for their own intentions of seducing power held over the masses for centuries, understand Satan is a myth, like many things, that speaks to us in terms of archetypes, forces of natural reality, in other words, a mythic, visual personification of evil. However, Lady Gaga has said she believes in the devil, so that clearly shows she's not enlightened above the dogmatic concepts of the church, rather they are a part of her reality and world view and she chooses to project that fearful imagery onto the masses by embodying it in her art, further enhancing it in the collective consciousness. She wishes her fans to embrace satanic imagery, and is exploiting cultural equality concepts such as homosexuality as a tool to psychologically embed in her fans the idea to accept her image regardless of her being a self proclaimed "monster" and continuously flashing the 666 imagery to her viewers in her video's, obviously sending a message that "Monster" is "Beast" aka, satan. She wants people to think this type of imagery is "cool" and acceptable, further joining it with spirituality.

Even though Satan is myth, evil is reality, and the two have long been connected as a depiction humanity can "understand". People seem to need things personified to relate to them. However, Lady Gaga is thus attaching herself to such imagery, and therefore projecting evilness, and fear into the collective consciousness while in the same breath telling everyone to accept her no matter what.

She wants fame above all else. She's lost in ego, she's worshiped as a false idol. Her video's mock the naivety of her adoring audience in plane site yet they are continuously mesmerized, in her they can see no wrong even as she escalates the imagery. Her video's are like rituals, and her "baptism" is like she's saying she's baptizing her audience into satanism. She's mocking, with her egg 3 day incubation referencing Jesus descent into Hell, and being born again as a devil into the world, now she wants to baptize the world. Each stage she goes further and further into projecting a satanic ritual. She's exploiting it.

I saw some people I follow on twitter said she just posted on her twitter account, "Sexy Beast. 666", I checked and yes she did. Looks like her fans are now calling her Sexy Beast, which is surely has long been her intention with using the "Monster" thing which I've said before. How appropriate for the beginning of Easter week to get attention.

Yesterday I saw a pic posted on twitter of her with the Witch from sleeping beauty. She was pretending to bite the apple with "sinful pleasure". I guess it's all a buildup to the climax for a Judas Easter. This is not surprisingly her team over-marketing, sure it gets attention, but does it get her actual fans who really like her? I would think the number of people disliking her is increasing daily. She is aligning herself as the image of an Antichrist, and apparently has been all along, it's just becoming more apparent every time we turn around. I think she wants people to think she's doing something amazing, like she's some sacrificial martyr for going to such lengths to expose her version of reality.

Myth says Satan falls from the heavens as lightning, and of course this she emulates.

Judas symbolizes betrayal, and in the name of money at that (symbolic of the root of all evil), and she's getting people to chant his name in praise in this song.

The corporate/political world and it's corruption symbolizes the very antithesis of spirituality, and she lusts for it. I think she is betraying the minds of her "little monsters" into idolizing something so dark, and they just don't get the whole picture because they are blinded by the seduction and choose to be blind.

We live in a world where corporate and political greed and corruption continues, as it did back then, in destroying and raping the earth, it's people and other life forms on it at an alarming rate for it's own consumption and desire for money and power. It is the very same type of energy that was behind the killing of Jesus who spoke out against it. Now she literally and symbolically endorses that level of consciousness and encourages her audience to love it. She's sneaky.

I think her video will have her as Mary Magdalene as has been already said she will be, but as Dan Brown's book declared Mary Magdalene and Jesus were partners/lovers, she will continue on this theme and be depicted as a "whore" as stated in her song, and as Mary Magdalene has been declared in the Bible. I think she'll be depicted as Jesus' lover in the video at first but then chooses to leave Jesus and fall in love with Judas because of her lusts and needs, and Jesus may give his permission as he loves her regardless as he loves all, and wants to see her happy. Of course this is just one of many possible guess scenarios. I think in the end, the message of the video will try to depict LG as one who should be accepted for who she is regardless of her actions, as she's been consistently convincing her fans to do. I think it's also possible at the end she'll turn into Jesus or everyone in the video will, to symbolize the "same DNA" theme and replicated heads etc., she's had in previous videos. I also think she'll connect the imagery of evil in meaning we all have good/evil, light and darkness within us, like two strands of the DNA helix united.

Do you realize what you are implying? Hey everybody, Lady Gaga may let us know truth about God. Really?!

It is sad that so many people want to use the excuse not to believe in Christ/God based on notions that there are missing gospels. Honestly, who cares if there are missing books? The bible reveals the truth about our creator and savior in the bible that we are left with. It didn't need any more books to do this.

Do not be deceived, Lady Gaga knows what she is doing. She is planting even more seeds into your mind and into your heart to question God. For many, she is watering the seed of doubt that has been planted because of human disappointments. Her metaphorical message is not to be taken lightly. It goes way deeper than just a story of a bad boy that she loves. Come on, you are smarter than this.

Don't let your past experiences with "church or other christians" keep you from really trying to get to know God for yourself.

Only He will reveal the absolute truths to you. And frankly, we don't need to know everything.

Another possible scenario I'm guessing is she'll be focusing on the difference between the Catholic church not being the "God" people see it as... (paralleling the church to the Judas, the demon people cling to). I think she'll be saying at the end of the day, everyone has a bit of evil within them.
