Vedas the picatrix, books of agrippa, book of enoch, book of adam and eve, the upnishads,
Hey Forum
I havent been on nearly as much as I would like recently. Work is winding down and Ill be back in school soon so i will have more time to post
Anyways, Id like to open a discussion about the Apocryphal Texts. I have been doing a bit of research into the Nag Hammadi scrolls. I like how these texts are essentially time capsules that have remained in relative stasis since the era of Christ. The Gospel of Thomas was a very interesting read. I have read most of The Essene Gospel of Peace but I have heard conflicting reports regarding their legitimacy. The Apocalypse of James I and II were some of the most moving pieces of literature I have ever read, and darn near reduced me to tears.
Alternatively, if you are aware of any powerful and esoteric texts coming from Taoism or Zoroastrianism or the multitude of other ancient philosophies, I would be very interested in seeing what kind of wisdom they promote.
So Forum once again I seek your wisdom![]()
Namaste![]()

The Meaning of Life is to Eat the Apple - Me
Wisdom comes from asking questions
Nothing really matters, love is all we need. - Madonna
I predict the weather will be unpredictable this year - Sylvia Browne
An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind - Gandhi
If it doesn't make sense, it's usually not true. - Judge Judy
no its a gospel rejected

There is only one tenant in esoteric Taoism. TEACH! Once you have completed the path and declared a master, you are expected to take a student and teach them what you have learned.
IMO, Lukas' Jedi are modeled after the ancient Taoist/Chan tradition. Each master had only one student at a time. They wandered the countryside with their students and submitted only to a council of elders.
Modern Taoism has gods and goddesses; rituals; standard worship practices; temples; etc. yuck!
