Hello new friends. I am 37, female and live in the central US (Bible belt). This last year has been a return home of sorts,in that I am opening myself again to things that I cannot quite label or understand in "logical" terms. Being able to understand things in a scientific way has been very important to me in recent years.

Recently I made a friend who I have been able to have conversations (crystals, astrology, etc) safely with. That is a rare find in this part of the country. She said to me the other day that she has been hoping for years to have some of the experiences I have been sharing with her. She thinks they are recent or new occurrences but I have had them for as long as I can remember. I am seeking to understand and develop any gifts I have.

I am a lucid dreamer. I do not remember ever NOT being one. I smell things that others do not. I wake up to the sound of cymbals. It's a fun life.

Anyway -nice to stumble across this forum. And thank you in advance for your hospitality and guidance.

I couldn't imagine living in such a restrictive place... well actually I could, where I grew up, but luckily I moved away a long time ago. I love freedom of thought. Luckily we have the internet now so we're not so limited.

Thank you for the nice welcome, Celtaur. Thankfully (I suppose) I moved here as an adult, so I was exposed to that freedom once upon a time. But yes, one must be "in the closet"quite a bit here in order to save relationships (or jobs).

Thank you for the welcome, ElicitWords. I, too, am doing quite a bit of lurking for the moment. Quite a bit of treasure to glean from though.

Do you journal your dreams? If not, consider starting. You will probably find yourself remembering more of them and more details if you journal consistently.
