Food Industry, Inert Beans and Seeds a Concern:

I'm quite opposed to this, it's disturbing.

Putting chickpeas, and many other beans, in water to make them sprout is impossible because they are made inert. Why? Because the big corporations that control our food think it's brilliant to not allow us to grow our own food from seed. Why? Because there's no money in allowing us to use plants as intended. The money is in making us buy the inert beans and seeds from them repeatedly.

Not that the government is doing any better of a job, but for those who say that Corporations on their own do what's in our best interest are simply living an illusion. Corporations have one goal, to make money, so they'll do things like destroy natures natural cycle because they want us to depend on them instead of being able to live as nature intended. There is something seriously wrong with the direction we are "evolving" towards.

Corporations have it in their interest to cause nature to be unable to replenish itself.

Couldn't agree more. It's an absolute disgrace.

Thankfully. And it amazes me how people think if we leave it up to the corporations the system will regulate itself. Well, the government isn't doing a good job, imagine if there were no regulations.

It is terrifying what is happening. Me and some friends often discuss ways of producing food outdoors that does not look like gardening or how to grow enough indoors. The day may come where it is not legal to feed ourselves as we want. I actually find it shocking just typing those words.

We all know what propels Corporations, it's their bottom line. They would hate for all of us to use seeds we harvested ourselves for the next years crop instead of paying for new packaged, purchased seeds year after year. It's another one of those trains on a path to nowhere and it's hurting all of humanity.

I see it as much more sinister than the bottom line. I think it is about control, and there is no greater way to control people than to control food and/or water. If we are hungry we will do just about anything that is expected of us.

I agree and when I think "bottom line" I do think it is both greed and control. The CEO's of most of Corporations do seem focused on these two things rather than the human greater good. These people just don't think in terms of our own vunerabilities, it will never happen to me syndrome. I think it is bad science to take away good, hardy seeds that nature is trying desperately to give to us.

I think some of the world is waking up in general. It's in a time of need in my opinion. We've allowed Government, Corporations rule our lives for far too long.

    nat·u·ral - adjective
1.existing in or formed by nature ( opposed to artificial): a natural bridge.

There is a reason we call it Natural. Nature should have, and always be in control, and not harmed or destroyed. I do feel we are on the right path, but it's going to take a long time for us to recover... If this truly turn around for the better.
