A very good question. I have wondered the very same thing but just never posed the question out loud. Since I don't have an answer I'll be trembling with anticipation for an answer from someone with more knowledge than I!!
This year we get to enjoy February 29th, as we do every leap year of course.
Is there anything especially associated to the leap year in terms of magical or spiritual correspondences?

Catholic Jubilee. A special door at the Vatican is only open during the Jubilee year, which happens on the 25th year. The last one happened in the year 2000.
I can’t remember what it is called, but the Jewish faith has a freedom from bondage tradition every 7 years.
The road runs both ways.
What are you creating?
Hmm. Unless you are an adherent to the rites of St Oswald (Denmark?) who had the misfortune to die on the 29th February, and hence he gets a quarter of the feasts of his fellow Saints. Of course, whether there are any rites specifically expected of the goodly Saint is another question entirely...
In the Arimathea context, it is one of the five "Zero" days, which are spread fairly evenly throughout the year, and as such remain a bit of a mystery when it comes to applying any sensible meaning to them. (29 Feb, 26 May, 14 Jun, 19 Oct and 31 Dec in case you are wondering...).
Of course, for all these single ladies who don't take the opportunity offered to snag themselves... erm, I mean... pop the question to that special man in their lives, obviously too shy to ask for himself, then it's another four year wait, I'm afraid to tap into that special magic opportunity...
Other than that, I'm keen to find out what hidden powers the day may hold too...
Hope everyone is enjoying the ''extra" day... though it's got me wondering, why don't we get paid an extra day in a leap year... :-o
I did buy a lottery ticket... No luck though, so I guess it's not a day for prosperity, except for the 3 others who did win on those ridiculous numbers and got 1 million each!
I guess the day could be used for the numerology 2 and 9 and 11. Those are a few of my favorite numbers. Well it's March already, the flowers will be coming soon enough once this snow is gone. That's magical.
