Interesting look at possible alternative economic model which doesn't rely on "growth" (that obvious flaw in current thinking... )

It would be wonderful if we could live in a society where people just gave what they could and everyone believed in gifting their excess to others so all could be fed, clothed, and taken care of. I would love to be living in a "Pay it Forward" society. Money does not help our ability to connect to each other, it does the opposite. Money separates people into different economic societies and drives a wedge between people. It takes away the needed human connection that makes us feel empathy for one another, I'd love to try the alternative economic model.....

I was looking up why Jesus overturned the money changers tables in the temple.

The current monetary system takes away our freedoms, and cuts us off from our in born nature to be free.

The average live of a commune is about 10 years. Members find that not everyone always gives their all. They tire of the lonely lifestyle of constant work. Irritations and frustrations infect the community. Communism did not last either.

The closest is the socialistic system of Denmark. However the income tax rate is like 50%. Everyone there does all they can to subvert the system. When my husband travels there he has to take an extra suitcase to accommodate all the stuff people want him to bring them (tax free).

It is a nice dream, but no one has ever been able to create an alternative economic system that is sustainable.

It is way better to stay in the world but not be of it.

Again, I can’t open the video. I do have this comment. Every time the social monetary system is overthrown, the civilization dies and great bodies of knowledge are lost.

The barbarians looted Rome and put the european continent into the Dark Ages.

The Chinese suffered a great lose of all traditional herbal medicine due to the communist takeover.

The Bolsheviks revolted in Russia, killing the czar and installing public rule. The culture of the times died and they are still in economic turmoil and overrun by mob influences 100 years later.

Change cannot be drastic. Otherwise the civilization will collapse and everyone will have to fend for themselves. Change must be gradual and it must be commonly desired.

So, the personal state of mind is the key to happiness in any economic reality.

Be in the world, but not of it.
