    I just did a couple of downward dog poses and it really feels like the blood rushes to my head, quite intensely. Even my eyes feel the pressure and it feels like too much. Now I'm dizzy. I just wonder if I stay in the pose too long if something will burst??? I seem to be able to stay down for 5-10 seconds, and that's it. This isn't the first time I've noticed this. I do not have high blood pressure, I actually have lower than normal blood pressure usually.

    I've read I should ease into it, and go into another pose when this happens, but should this be happening? With lower blood pressure why would it get so intense on a downward dog pose? Literally I can feel the blood draining from the rest of my body into my head, my sinuses, neck and eyes feel the pressure a lot and it feels really quite uncomfortable.

    Low blood pressure can be a serious condition. I’m surprised you don’t have a problem with swollen feet or ankles.

    With that said, it makes sense that when you bend over the blood rushes to you head. The blood is not being held steady by a proper pressure. Your vessels are just open tubes for the blood to flow in the direction of gravity. What to do? Don’t know. Find a way to pump up your blood pressure?

    I have been told I have low blood platelets, but that went back to normal I think a while back, but I do have low blood ferritin, but it seems the doctors don't find that a concern if your hemoglobin levels are normal. My ferritin was down to 17 which was considered low on the scale as "Severely depleted iron stores", but since then the docs say it doesn't matter because my hemoglobin is normal.

    I do get dizzy at times, especially often when standing from sitting.
