What a great story. Thanks so much for sharing. I truly believe that things happen for a reason. Your having told this story may have very well touched another...
The first time I heard of synchronicity was many years ago in the late 90's from a book called the Celestine Prophecy. This was my first awareness of synchronicity, the patterns of life, without simply chalking things up to chance or mere coincidence. From then on, synchronicities have been happening in my awareness from time to time, when least expected.
One powerful and amazingly synchronistic event happened to me one evening around midnight when I was walking through a field to get home after a night shift at a very mundane job. The job left me unfulfilled, a phone survey job that left me feeling depleted and devoid of meaning. Each night on my long bus trip home I was drained, very depressed and wondered why I had to work such a meaningless job for such little pay. I felt the need for more, the internal longing for more meaning, to express myself truthfully, to work for the love of what I do rather than simply to gain a minuscule paycheck.
As I got off one bus to catch the next, the bus I was to get on took off only seconds before, resulting in me needing to walk home which would take about 25 minutes. The other option was to wait 35 minutes for the next bus with no guarantee it would show up on time.
As I walked through a field from the bus station to gain access to another street, I was starting to well up inside, my eyes watering, and I looked into the star filled sky in desperation. I looked at the beauty of the sky, and asked my self, God, the universe, "where are the beings of light" (the energy forces of lightness, angelic compassion, anything I could imagine that would represent joyous existence). In the next second I changed the direction of my eyes to be directly focussed on a bright billboard about 350 feet away and it read in giant bold letters "Heaven" and in the bottom right hand corner in smaller letters it read "The Source" and that was all there was on the billboard.
I immediately felt a wave of energy flow through my body, amazed at what I had seen, all doubt lifted that I had been connected to something Divine. I walked towards it staring in amazement. Too much to simply be a coincidence. Uncanny. I walked home feeling very different.
The next day on the bus towards the bus station passing that same billboard, there was a different advertisement on it. Amazing.
The odds too much to not take definite appreciation for the way the world works.

That was a great story Celtaur and I like hearing them. I have been experiencing synchronicities for quite sometime....Over the last 3 months I began a synchronicity journal to track the patterns. The results have been mind-blowing to say the least...I have between 3-5 a day at this point, and they will only increase as we head toward summer. Summer is the season of synchronicity, and stated as such in various alchemical sources. Jung, of course, discussed this subject in greater detail in a number of essays. It would seem that as one progresses through the individuation process, synchronicities increase...
Some patterns that have emerged: 444, 11:11, 4:20, various connections to alchemy, dream-like films I have watched, particular individuals in my life, energy...
Great story Celtaur Aumystical...thank you for sharing.
A few weeks ago on my way to pick up m daughter from school, I saw my neighbor working outside in the yard. Her daughter goes to the same school as my daughter so I asked if I should pick her daughter up too. She happily accepted and I walked up to her house when suddenly I was over taken by a delicious smell of spanish food. The thought came to me...I wish she would cook for us. I fastly dismissed the thought and went to pick up the kids.
As soon as I got back home I went into my kitchen to start preparing dinner, when the door bell rang. It was my neighbor....she said: " I will cook for you." I happily accepted and not 10 minutes later did she come back with a tray full of rice, beans and meat for the whole family!
May your awareness be perfect
