    Neither pagan (it has nothing to do with belief whatsoever), nor Jewish (as it appeared before Jewish people). More info has been posted here.

    That's compelling. So, I think I gleaned rereading your post that kaballah has been the primary inspiration for all the poetry that is religion. Among scholars many disagree on the sources of knowledge, as in the cases of hermetic knowledge, or astrological correspondences. Some say Egypt is where the metaphysicans and magicians drew their wisdom, or where the truth was revealed; some say Chaldea, and Some Say India. My research leads me to believe that source of divine knowledge lies in India, that the gita, for example, is of authoritative antiquity(could be older than the Qabbalah). I will be sure to consider your claim that the kabbalah is 5000 years old, stems from Babylon, and is seminal.

    So as i understand it the poster is of a more scientific and aethist viewpoint. I disagree that most people who study this share this viewpoint of only science.
    Although most magicks of the past are described or being discovered by science today.
    Thats probably why i disagree about hebrew not being a magickal language as each letter does represent esoteric concepts, and how the world was created in genesis, and elements as energetic units of the one, sort of how hieroglyphs were pictographs they represent concepts, study of runes has also taught me this, as well as ogham but we have lost this somewhat in our modern english alpha-beth. AB god goddess.
    Now "true" kaballah is more of a religious bent taken over by the judeochristians, while the practical qaballah is more of a magickal use, describing our universe in physicality but also modes of conciousness as our mind. So psychology as a soft science, as in the hermetic tradition as all is mind, however. So the tarot are keys and were linkied by E levi? to the tree of life, which is of most import of study to me than the oral tradition of kaballah written in the 11th or 12th century. The major arcana can be used in pathworking, magick, meditation, and movement on the tree, malkuth is viewed as the body or only physical plane in my paradigm... the higher realms of the sun and under as personality and more physical logic and emotion, the higher realms above that are purely not physical....Although i agree the source of which probably dates to babylonia or at least to egyptian, pagan times.......Supposedly it was given to adam and eve first (not my literal beleif), then was lost then to moses, and keeps having periods of being lost and found,,,,,,
    Just my opinion.
    Through Emotion, i found peace ;
    Trough Ignorance, i found Knowledge ;
    Through Passion, i found Serenity ;
    And through the Dark Side, i found light ;
    The force are all Linked. And i am its follower
