Full Moon in Sagittarius May 2010

A May Full Moon in Sagittarius 27 at 7:07pm EST.  Will it be wild over the next few days? Not like it was last month when the Full moon was in Scorpio.  The planets are showing up in new ways this month which shows some easing of that tension.  However, the days around full moon always brings an element of transition in how we feel.

With the moon in Sagittarius you’ll likely notice a feeling of expansion and growth is on the horizon and you may want to get away.  Do it!  Let loose a little and shake off those unwanted chains that have been restraining you.  Give yourself the opportunity to feel more free, but not at the expense of others or your common sense.  If you have too much need for freedom right and feel rebellious now you may want to hang out with an earth sign to get you a little more grounded so you don’t take a leap you aren’t really prepared for. But still let loose a little; get away from the house if you’re able to, or take a break from being around people who may be bringing you down too much.  You’ll likely want to steer clear of any “Debbie Downers”, you’ve got the need for freedom of self and expression on your mind.

If you’ve been planning on taking a long, or far away trip from home, go with those feelings.  You don’t necessarily have to go now, but having it on your mind and visualizing where you’d like to go will likely be beneficial now.   Start a vision board, cut out pictures of the types of places that interest you, those places that you’ll feel free. Be expressive and open to possibilities because Sagittarius has the tendency to have fluctuating views of what is possible.  If travel is out of the picture, you’ll benefit from traveling astrally, or meditations that expand your mind and spirit.  The journey is more important than the destination.

Think really big, wide, open thoughts about all that you’d love to do or achieve.  See those potentials you really have, and think even bigger.  Focusing on big ideas for your life, will not only help pick up your emotions and get you motivated and could set the stage for a bigger future for you.

With all that said, you may find your emotions changing.  Don’t let your emotions get too hot.  Like a kettle when it starts to steam and whistle you know it’s time to take it off the burner. Instead, try to use that potential to your advantage.  Focus more on using your imagination and your intuition as a team, and keep mental notes of anything that comes up, even write them down because the tendency of these ideas driven by your feelings could dissipate quickly.

Near this full moon your enthusiasm could skyrocket, then quickly fade as the moon wanes over the next couple of weeks.  Maybe you have an idea, a plan, or want to launch something quickly, try to remember this energy if you’re feeling it.  It drives you, and has the potential for success.  In life though, we can easily forget as the days roll on.  You may drop your idea before you even get started on it, but remember the power in this energy and enthusiasm, remember to think big.

Surround yourself in art, contemplate philosophy and religion, ask the big questions. These are great ways to get your energy flowing and move your emotions to new heights.  A breakthrough is possible.

Jupiter is giving Sagittarius an extra emphasis for some expansion at home.  You may find decorating your home beneficial to your emotions, even the smallest change with great emphasis could transform the feeling of your space.  Enhancing your environment with a bit of Feng Shui in mind can really give you an emotional boost.  Travel ideas are given a double dose of support with Jupiter’s influences, and you may find luck by doing some research.  Reading more about meditation and getting into that spiritual, philosophical side of you will heighten your mental faculties.

Saturn though is really influencing Jupiters expansive ideas with responsibility, they are currently in opposition, so you may have conflicting ideas asking yourself if you can really achieve what you are enthusiastic about.  You might have some doubts, but note that Saturn is good at grounding and brings in that element of earth you may need right now.  Be enthusiastic, think big, and know that any looming doubts are Saturns way of telling you to bring in the aspect of practicality and responsibility to your life.  This is a good thing for anyone who enjoys being super enthusiastic to the point of danger during a full moon!

If you’re interested in finding a career Saturn gives you the gift of more stability gained from the effort you put in searching diligently.  You may feel somewhat unlucky in gaining that real sense of authority in your current career.  If you’re looking for a career there may be delays to finding just what you want and landing that position to start get you going.  It’s ok.  Take this time to focus on what you feel would bring you luck in life.  Holding this frame of mind can move you in a direction that could get closer to building a foundation that could expand into a future career.  Do some writing, or make a business plan, think about all the possibilities.  Brainstorm. You may find a jewel in there when you look it over again in the near future.

Uranus has just moved into Aries and will be there for quite some time – Let the transformation begin! The sun is shining bright these days, and you’ve got a fresh start full of vigor, and routines at home may be boring.  People may seem a little erratic and their energy may seem to be shifting all over the place.  There’s a sense of excitement in the air.

Things could change swiftly. Some things may come crashing down like the Tower or Shiva the destroyer to make room for what’s new. You or someone else at home may want to stir things up a bit with some unexpected changes for some time to come.

At home, somebody may want to avoid responsibility, and it might be you. Someone may move in, or out or you may change where you live.  You may notice changes in people about things are passionate about often based on their beliefs.  Someone may get really impractical, overly dramatic, or if they channel their energy in a creative way they could be theatrical – Drama Queen alert! Have fun with it if you can.

Try something new, or thinking in new directions.  The planets are supporting it now.  Go for it in a positive way.  Starting anything new could come about very quick but there may not be much follow through to see any completion or resolution of it.

Be generous and open to possibilities right now, this will strengthen your potential to attract some good fortune. Jupiter is really handing positive influences to the moon.  Try reading a good book, or study something that interests you now to keep your mind and energy focused on positive things. Read something touching, or consider taking on a new course in a subject you’ve wanted to.

Enlighten yourself a little by doing things that promote positive thinking to help your life attract auspicious currents.  Enjoy what you can that brings you into alignment with a powerful, transformational way of life.

Thursday, May 27, 2010 is the full moon in Sagittarius, a sign ruled by Jupiter. This particular full moon is known world wide and many ceremonies and rituals are performed in its honor. This full moon accompanies a rarity…it is happening on Thursday, a day ruled by Jupiter. Take advantage of this infrequent combination. Pick a planetary hour of Jupiter and you have Jupiter threefold!

Jupiter is the planet of expansion. It naturally rules the ninth house, the house of travel and higher learning. It will bring luck and fortune to whatever house it rules in your natal chart as well. Many who practice astological magic use the planet Jupiter to bring monetary prosperity.
