Lady Gaga Alejandro Symbols

Sex, Religion, Death, War, Politics.  What more popular archetypes to dig deep into the psychology of humanity.

Designed for controversy, these subjects have been a part of life and life’s taboo’s since the beginning of civilization.

Designed for sales.  Lady Gaga knows how to sell and parallels Madonna in many ways throughout by taking risks in demonstrating art through these archetypal subjects. She continues the one eye open, the other covered motif displayed in other videos many allude to conveying Horus eye symbolism. It appears a disheveled red heart is being carried with an A resembling a cross on it.

Smart marketing by touching on the most primal subjects we all can relate to.  It’s all been done before, it’s just now, with a little more money, and refinement in art and video, it looks a little more upscale.

Where there’s dark, there’s mystery and mystery makes you think and desire to know more.  Mystery = controversy = sales.

Primal, animal, occult, ritual, gothic. Gaga’s cloak$reminds one of The Golden Dawn, Catholic or related ritual garments.

It is art. Reinventions of universal archetypal subject matter.

Upside-down Cross. Coffin. Phallic Symbol.

Religion. Death. Sex.

Primal battle between these subjacts timeless interconnectedness symbolized by War – Military.

Hand Mudra Christian Symbol

The images of authority also speak to an archetype. Very thought provoking.

It’s very military oriented, and they look almost alien at the beginning, like coming from a ship.

When I think of Dark Gothic Military like this it makes me think of Hitler and Nazi’s, and I think that theme may be the intention here. The cross-dressing, homo-eroticism has me think of how I’ve heard Hitler was a cross dresser, and the blond haired, almost albino look has me think of the genetic “perfect human” Hitler envisioned.

It’s very homo-erotic S&M. Speaking to the issues of homophobia in the military, which is on the news a lot lately.

The “Mushroom Cuts” on the men also speaks to that era of the 40′s. Think of Moe from the Three Stooges. It was as popular then as it was in the late 80′s (or was that early 90′s!) LOL

The beginning looks a lot like a ritual, with the triangle and 6 pointed star they carry as they march.

It definitely looks like an A to me on that red meat on the pillow – a heart maybe – like the symbol for Athiest or Crowleys A∴A∴ maybe?

I see Lady Gaga as very much like Marilyn Manson, very Gothic art. She’s like a female version that is pop oriented in her lyrics, but she brings in those elements into her videos for the visual effect.

I think she has a lot of gay and female fans, like Madonna. I suspect many straight men aren’t into her. I think many are probably interested in her messages through her use of symbols for curiosity as well as conspiracy.

The song has been not so loved I’ve heard – too “Ace of Base”, but it’s not surprising she’s made the video more interesting to counter the softness of the tune.

There’s 10 people lying on the floor and she’s the 11th standing. Usually a coven is 12 people and one in the center. Like the last supper, 6 disciples on each side of Jesus. Maybe she’s working on the significance of the number 11 instead of 13… or am I reading too much into it? 11 is a popular number these days, like 11:11

There are 11 grades in the initiation of A∴A∴ – I just looked the A∴A∴ up and saw that, so maybe…

I think it would seem a bit Satanic… the red cloak, she looks like the “scarlet woman” after eating the rosary and the upside down cross on her crotch… now that’s going be controversial I would think to many!

She uses that hand symbol used by the Christian Church too, which is often seen in Renaissance and Medieval artwork at the 5:33 mark.

She kind of does a Madonna Vogue black and white scene after that and then the rifle bustier.

I mean, yah, there really isn’t anything new. Madonna did pretty much everything that’s in this video… What else can she do… how much further can you go you know? I don’t know. Have they reached the cap? Can you get any more controversial? I’m not sure. I think anything to do with crucifixes, etc., there’s not much more to do to surprise people.

Still… is it too much? Is she getting a little too dark for the masses I wonder.

I think she needs to start moving in a more positive direction. I also think she needs to think about her videos in advance, like when she’s writing the lyrics, so the concepts of the lyrics and the video’s match. Right now it’s like she wrote a bunch of songs with one intention, then the music industry is molding her image into something and it doesn’t match her lyrics at all… So on the next album maybe she’ll write things more closely related to the video content.

Personally, I like the light. I’d like to see a little more sunshine in her next video. A little more brightness and illumination.

Maybe she’ll play on that motif… before the light is the darkness?

I wouldn’t be surprised. It seems her staff are versed in the process of individuation.

Yet, I think she’s a bit too dark… Kids need light in their life, they are the next generation. We need more light being brought into the world.

… well.., the cross she uses is NOT actually christian. I don’t know where she took it from, but the christian cross is “crucifix” and it has a defined shape, different as this one. Does anyone know where else this cross has been used, where it comes from??

    cross of lorraine, vatican, templars

The upside down cross has its origins from before satanist started using it. It is actually called Peters cross and is actually one of the most humble symbols there is because when Peter was about to be crucified he said that he is not worthy to be crucified as the almighty and that he wants the cross turned upside down.
