It’s officially a Full Moon in Leo on February 7, 2012 at 4:53pm EST.

This is a time to pay attention to your ego, and not be a slave to it, but to use it for good.

Bring your strengths forward. Look at the uniqueness you alone have and bring it out in the open.  Only you have the forces brought together in the magnificent orchestra contained within you. Others can think and say whatever they wish of you but the truth of who you are is within only you. Share that truth. Own it. Respect it and be grateful for it. Your personality was meant to shine like the Sun. When you radiate, others can’t help but notice you.

Nobody can be someone else. Nobody can try to be like another, it won’t work, it will never have the same quality or authenticity of the original. An imitation is never as good as the real depth of soul the original has within. Although actors can do a great job, and create a moving roles, we know it is only an illusion reserved for the part. We always see the actors own energy in that role. The actor becomes a star, because they radiate their own inner qualities into the performance. What moves us, is their life force, coupled with the display of universal motifs and archetypes we recognize within ourselves.

This is Leo. The radiant star quality within all of us, unique to our personality, yet often hidden beneath layers of conditioning. Let the sun shine from your heart and beam from your eyes.

Honor your uniqueness instead of judging yourself. Be strong and proud to be authentically you in a world where we are often compartmentalized by others misconceptions and false views. Be courageous to release yourself from the untruths, so you can become true to yourself.

With Mars in Virgo, the ways we handle our ego is brought to our attention. Our instinctual nature is reflected upon and made sense of. Here we recognize the balance of the male dominating ego and unhindered force, with the feminine principle of composure and self-control.

When we are courageous, determined, enthusiastic and confident we are utilizing the solar, fire energy of Leo to move us through life’s challenges with excitement. However, when we’re pigheaded, violent, domineering and boastful, we’re manifesting our lower qualities.

It’s a good time for people who are challenged with self-esteem issues to reflect on the powerful meaning of our life. Are you self critical? Have you believed what others thought and said and adopted those as true about yourself? How has your persona been molded over the years by the idea’s you’ve encountered?

If you were to strip away all those layers, you will find within an authentic person, full of love and light. Sharing that true self, there is no question of confidence, because it is the true you. If you don’t like yourself, where does that opinion come from? The false version of yourself is built on fears you’ve been conditioned to believe, not truth.

The Full Moon in Leo symbolizes you being real and feeling good about who you are. The Sun in Aquarius shining on the Moon, speaks to that truth of your individuality and how that relates to others. It’s a great time to understand where your weaknesses come from, and how the harsh judgments you impose on yourself represent a false version of you, not the real you. Realize your potential by being true to your real self.

This is a good time to express your talents. If you don’t think you’re talented, think again. Try anything that interests you, and focus on the positive. Doing something, anything that interests you will open up worlds of possibilities. Maybe your first painting won’t be that great. So what. At least you put the paintbrush on the canvas instead of being paralyzed to act. Athletics will help you burn off thoughts and energy now, helping to give you a healthy ego boost.

Get ready for spontaneous love. Venus moves into Aries on February 8th and will get closer to Uranus. Be careful to not splurge on buying material possessions without any forethought. It will be tempting. Spend less time in the malls worrying about buying the perfect gift for valentines, and more time being with those you care about.

Saturn goes retrograde today at 9:02 am. He still needs to finish off his work in Libra, indicating the world’s need for justice continues to be a focus, and we’re continuing to increase our awareness of the limitations placed on us in our collective experience. The world can be a hostile place, but we’re responsible for divisiveness. From the small argument with a stranger online, to nation against nation, we all need to be more conscious of how we impose ourselves on others. We will begin to reflect more deeply on our personal responsibilities and how our karmic debts get paid and restrict us.

Be careful not to procrastinate. The longer you put something off the heavier the burden will become. Wishing a problem going away doesn’t make it so. Try not to put too much added responsibility on yourself. Take the weight off by organizing and delegating tasks.

On February 3rd, Neptune moved into Pisces for a long stay until 2026. Neptune is right at home being the ruler of Pisces.

This will become an increasingly spiritual phase for humanity, where illusion and reality blends together transforming our perceptions.

It’s a great time to start a new spiritual practice like meditation, yoga, tai chi and related fields of interest and become attuned to a more healing vision for yourself and the world. The downside is many with the predisposition to want to escape reality through the use of mind altering substances from drugs to alcohol may feel the temptation grows. Be mindful of what is good for you on a deeper level. Bring your attention to what matters in the large picture of your life bridging your intuition with a higher calling. Be compassionate and sensitive to all those you touch.

Arts and creativity will become more divinely inspired. We’re looking forward to holograms becoming a part of our reality. The world is going to seem more mystical and virtual as we head into the future. Expect flower power, and hippy new-age ideas to become more prevalent. Try to stay grounded for balance.

With imagination, the sky is the limit. Dreams will be fantastically mesmerizing. Keep notes.

Mercury moves into Pisces on February 13th. Be careful of your opinions, they certainly may not be based on validity, and subjectivity can take much out of context. Gossip could turn delusional, even deceitful. Work extra hard to keep your thoughts organized. A planner and to-do list will help, but try to get that going before the 13th so it’s set in place. You’ll have your intuition to guide you though, so don’t worry about being too methodical. Listen to your inner voice. Think spiritually and compassionately when in discussions with others, especially on Valentines day.

A great, entertaining example of the Leo energy coupled with our new phase of mystical Neptune in Pisces is the Egyptian Solar Deity representation Madonna entered as in processional style of Queen Cleopatra during the Super Bowl. The gods and goddesses of ancient Roman and Egyptian myth, with the apocalyptic trumpeting is also fitting for the 2012 new age era.

This is a time to work to bringing a more positive attitude to all you do in order to find the emotional balance needed to counter any potentially negative spiraling tendencies.

St. John’s wort is a natural way to help get you through the blue moments, but you have to be proactive to feel good about yourself. Start a routine that is healthy. You won’t regret it.

Essential Oils of Cypress , German Chamomile, Clary Sage, Eucalyptus, Fennel, Fir, Lavender, Lime, Niaouli, Patchouli, and Pine are all good choices to use in your bath or infuse into your environment now.

Flashes of inspiration to get you started won’t come so easily. You’ll need to stay focused and force yourself to drive the chariot forward. Once the wheels get going your emotions will tune in to a smoother ride.

This is also a good time to get yourself geared up for a more spiritually minded approach to life. Coming soon, the mystical side of life will become more apparent. Watch for synchronicities. Keep a dream journal. Learn about energy healing like chi kung, reiki, or pick up the practice of tai chi to get your energy flowing. Tuning into astrology and alternative new-age ideas will become more prevalent for many of you.

Some of you may find yourself more interested in paranormal television programs, ghosts, and books on mystical ideas. Fantasy subjects like vampires, werewolves, creatures, as well as witches, spells, magical thinking and the like will become more intriguing subjects for many. Many who find these subjects taboo will have a more open mind and fit the ideas into their own paradigms.

Transforming opinions on religion and mysticism will become more easily assimilated into people’s world view naturally.

If you’ve found winter to be something you’ve disliked for many years, this year you may have a change of heart and see the beauty in all the seasons. Each giving you a fresh perspective on how you relate to the cycles of life.

It’s a hopeful time. The Suns rays are bringing with them more clarity on your individuality, and will carry you into a more spiritual point of view over the next few weeks. How you see yourself in the world, your purpose and how you affect and influence others becomes more real, yet ethereal.

Spontaneously helping others now through any personal issues will reflect to you a magnification of your own values and courage to share yourself truthfully. You may not need many acquaintances, but a few close friends who understand you are valuable. Building relationships that bring new directions in life is possible now. Be open to sharing.

For emotional balancing and feeling good about yourself, doing activities that will get your heart rate up will be great. Oxygenating your blood by running outside is a great option at this time of year.  Be careful you don’t slip on ice and twist your ankle. Be mindful of where you’re stepping. You may also find massaging your feet, legs and ankles will be especially potent at improving your overall sense of well being.

If you want your long term goals to succeed, now is a good time to focus on planning your way there. Money matters are always a part of life whether you’re rich or poor. Most of us are on a sliding scale anywhere in between. Focusing instead on your happiness than solely the number crunching lifts your spirits so you can be a success in life, rather than the rat race. Merge your feelings into creating wealth as a reflection of a more spiritually centered view of life.

Keep your opinions open about your love life now. Allowing others to be human without you conceptualizing their follies is important now. A more spiritual approach to why relationships are really important to you will be more fulfilling. It’s not important to envision who would be the ideal partner, or how one would fit into that ideal, for your fulfillment now. Instead, be more in the now and enjoying feeling centered in who you are and who others are individually. See others quirks as qualities rather than faults.

At night, tune into your intuition. Staying up late in candle lit rooms with incense will open you up to new ideas. Let them grow as the new moon starts to wax. Be tranquil as you tune into your unconscious. Inspiration in a flash can more likely happen when you actively tune into the subtle world around you now. We are never independent. Aquarius teaches us that although a part of us feels strongly towards independence, it is through reaching out that we really understand ourselves. It’s officially a Full Moon in Cancer on January 9, 2012 at 2:30 am EST.

Cancer is ruled by the Moon. There’s a highly potent Lunar force flowing through us now.

This is a good time to go within to find wisdom. Emotions coming up now can transform from moment to moment.

It’s important to find comfort and a stable foundation for your feelings now. If you’re being swayed and challenged by others, don’t be surprised if your defenses are up. Bringing forth a motherly affection and kindness to those you encounter will calm the waters.

Where do you feel your emotions in your body? Do you allow them to drown you in sorrow at the depths of the sea or raise you high into the clouds of heaven touched by the moonlight?

Reconnect with the life giving importance and sacredness of water now. Drink plenty of water to refresh and cleanse your body. Creating an environment in your bathroom that reflects a self-care, holistic spa experience can bring you into the embrace of the divine feminine.

Take baths or showers with essential oils that are earthy to combine the water and earth elements. Cedarwood, Chamomile, Eucalyptus, Jasmine, Myrrh, Sandalwood are all great choices to balance body, mind and spirit now.

Are you dissatisfied with the direction your life is, or has been, going in? Do you feel like you’ve been passive in areas of your life and are now need to become more decisive and direct? Ambitions, talents and practical goals all intertwine now with our emotions. Use your intuition to know what is the right direction for you. Trust your gut.

Do you believe in what you have to offer? Do you know your talents? Do you feel like you’re not living up to your abilities? You can approach your life open to trusting it will unfold as it should, or you can worry.  Any worries that do arise can be as temporary, or lengthy,  as you allow your emotions to go there.  Luckily with many planets in earth elements you’ll be able to make tangible changes. The choice is yours.

This is not a good time to feel rushed in life. If you do feel like you’re rushing towards a future, ask yourself what is it saying about your deeper values and beliefs about yourself. Are you acting out of desperation or a grounded center?

Those who are rushing towards their future, trying to fill up an ego that can never be fulfilled miss out on the splendor of now. When you’re thinking only of what the future holds, or a future version of yourself you are making a declaration about yourself that you aren’t happy with where you are, and in many cases, with who you are.

Stop the roller coaster ride in your imagination from stealing away the happiness you’re missing out on, and come back to living in the now. Center yourself with breathing, meditation and gratitude for this moment.

There is no rush in the 9 months it takes from conception to birth. Nature works in it’s own time. Tune into this larger truth, and trust the process of your life. You may often forget, but you are a part of a grander nature.

It’s time to reevaluate your reasons for your goals from a more centered perspective. Write down your ideas, goals, wishes, hopes, dreams, talents, abilities, as well as everything that you love and believe about yourself.

2012 begins with us feeling emotionally attached to our reality. Don’t expect a lightning bolt to fall from the sky, changing everything into gold for you. You’re more likely to create a meaningful transformation deep in your core through decisiveness and trusting your life through a more spiritually guided purpose. Merge your logic with your emotions now. Be smart about what your feelings are telling you. Ask yourself the why’s, how’s and what’s. Then color them all with what inspires you.

Don’t expect some external event to magically give you all the answers. You have to go within to find them. A lot of people depend on something outside to change to make the difference in their lives. Waiting around to win the lottery can leave you waiting a lifetime. You can’t swallow a magic pill to get what you want. If you could, it would still always wear off. Don’t be dependent on externalities. You have to do the work in this life, going deep inside, seeking a higher truth only accessible within.

In love, although there is some shyness and inhibition in the air Venus opens her arms with magnetism to deeper spiritual relationships built on trust and adoration.

Feeling creative? Dig into your paints, pencils. Listen to music that inspires you. It’s a great time to see what can emerge from your subconscious.

All planets are direct now. Take this time to direct your life with emotions that support you in the now. Believe in a better today. Let the light shine on you and from within.
