Is middle-finger gesture a spiritual mudra?

M.I.A is being sued by the NFL for $1.5 Million for her middle finger gesture during Madonna's Super Bowl performance. She's updated her story with a spiritual twist for her defense.
"In America, you have gang signs, and people throw up initials and stuff like that. Well, 5,000 years ago, there was thing called a mudra, which is your sitting position when you do yoga or you're meditating or praying or whatever," she said. "And you have different ones based on what you're meditating over. There's not a lot of them that are named after gods and goddesses, but the middle finger is specifically named Matangi – the Matangi mudra."
M.I.A. has also newly released an album titled Matangi saying:
"My references are beyond the [music] industry….I'm talking about the [hindu] goddess Matangi, who invented music 5,000 years ago."
Matangi is one of the Mahavidyas, ten Tantric goddesses and a ferocious aspect of Devi, the Hindu Divine Mother. She is considered as the Tantric form of Sarasvati, the goddess of music and learning. Like Sarasvati, Matangi governs speech, music, knowledge and the arts. Her worship is prescribed to acquire supernatural powers, especially gaining control over enemies, attracting people to oneself, acquiring mastery over the arts and gaining supreme knowledge. wikipedia
The matangi mudra is used to activate the solar plexus chakra and balance the energies of the solar plexus region.

In Palmistry the middle finger's astrological association is with the planet Saturn.
