The Sun and Jupiter meet in Libra today. When the Sun and Jupiter meet it traditionally means good fortune and points in the direction we would do well to expand on. In Libra, positive growth in relationships, faith, fairness and an open heart are emphasized as the path to authentic fulfillment. Consider this on the same day as Pluto stations direct in Capricorn.

Pluto stations Direct in Capricorn on September 26, 2016 at 11:02 a.m. EDT.

This transition occurs right in the middle of the sign of Capricorn close to the 15 degree point - each of the 12 zodiac signs are divided by 30 degrees each. We’re right in the middle of Pluto’s cycle through Capricorn.

Pluto is part way done the long journey through Capricorn. Pluto entered Capricorn in January of 2008 and will remain in Capricorn until the end of 2024. That’s 16 years Pluto will be in Capricorn! Pluto will not be in Capricorn again for about 250 more years after that! So, as you can imagine the transformations that happen during this period will have a long lasting impact.

This can be considered a significant turning point, or crossing of the guard, especially in regards to business, the economy and politics.

On personal levels this can be a turning point towards what your own goals in life are. Having let go of old goals that don't align with who you are anymore while Pluto was retrograde, and moving forward in a new direction is important now. Consider what kind of career or job is suitable for who you are now and who you'd like to be going forward. Become a leader in your own life.

Pluto is a distant planet, a slow mover, and changes can happen over long periods of time, in stages. It also speaks to the larger issues and grander societal themes in our lives.

Pluto in Capricorn is about leadership, power, career, ambition, business, politics and it’s especially about changing the system and the changing of authority figures. With the political climate building up to the many considerations of power and change in a couple of months, we are now entering into a potent time of transition. We are at a crossroads, a midway point.

While Pluto has been in Capricorn, and especially while retrograde, the political, business, and economic world has had an intensity that is arguably more noticeable these days. Perhaps that would be difficult to measure scientifically, but with our mass media escalating and people connecting online growing exponentially in recent years, I think it’s pretty safe to say we’re more exposed to politics and what’s going on in world affairs now probably more than ever.

When Pluto goes down into the underworld, as retrograde here signifies, there is more of a focus of uncovering lies, corruption and negativity. Meanwhile, Jupiter and the Sun in Libra signify the importance of truth. After all is said and done, after we transform our lives, what we hope is to be able to move forward with more personal empowerment and achieve goals that are more important to our lives.

Pluto retrograde in Capricorn is about how the hidden things (like lies and corruption behind the scenes in politics and business) affect reality and have a direct, physical impact on the world we live in. By looking at the not-so-nice things going on in the world especially the results of the hierarchy of power in the world, people can get riled up and demand change.

When it comes to power in business and politics, it has a lot to do with sweeping powers that affect the personal lives of all of us. What we see more people acknowledging these days is a lack of trust in authority.

Pluto in Capricorn also speaks to people being tired of a corporations, and people in general, polluting the environment and disregarding nature. By acknowledging what’s wrong, we can choose to do better.

Pluto in Capricorn also has personal associations relating to your goals and career matters. What are you really going for? What do you want? What are your ambitions? Are you ready to make a change in your career? While retrograde we can feel the need to get rid of or leave what we don’t like in these areas of life so we can move forward on a stronger path that is more in line with the ladders we really want to climb.

Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, is in Sagittarius, which signifies obstacles between cultures worldwide. Just turn on the news and the evidence is everywhere. For some this can signify a fear of traveling outside your comfort zone.

Interestingly, a wall between Mexico and the United States would be a strong physical manifestation of this type of barrier between cultures that Saturn in Sagittarius signifies.

This divide between cultures and philosophies on life, plays a strong role in politics with Pluto in Saturn-ruled-Capricorn now. Jupiter, ruler of Sagittarius, and the Sun highlighted today in Libra, signifies the need to expand worldviews to find harmony and peace.

Now is a time that signifies how many people want life to change in business and politics especially. On personal levels it’s a time to consider getting outside one’s own small bubble to explore more of life. People with low incomes can feel fed up with being restricted from experiencing more of life as they struggle paycheck to paycheck. The desire to see more of the world can inspire people to work hard, to change careers and find the determination to build a strong financial foundation to be able to travel and experience more of life.

Pluto in Capricorn relates to money and wealth. This reminds us that some people - with their desire for attainment of their goals - will unfortunately step on others along the way. The ego can be strong with Pluto in Capricorn. If you want to see what someone is really like, you’ll see it when they are dealing with money. How people attain money and what they do with it when they have plenty, speaks volumes about what kind of person they are when they feel they have more power in their pockets.

Pluto stationing Direct has us considering big changes. While retrograde purging of what isn’t working or worthwhile is in more focus. When direct, it is the use of power, and building and rising anew that is in focus. Consider it like the symbolism of the Phoenix descending into the underworld, burning away the past to be transformed and rising to soar in the skies renewed.

As mentioned, Pluto is at the mid-point of Capricorn, and we are moving forward from here, but Pluto will go retrograde many more times between now and 2024, so we have lots of strong changes in politics, finance and business that are still to come.

Interestingly, the political debates start tonight and Pluto stationing direct speaks strongly of power moves in the political arena. The energy of change is going to feel like it’s gaining momentum now.

With the Moon in Leo, there is likely to be lots of dramatic, passionate feelings that come up, especially regarding what we feel holds us back from progress and growth towards our aspirations in life.

If you are the type that worries and is fearful of political ramifications, do tap into the positive energy of Jupiter and the Sun. A focus on bringing more peace and harmony to the world is something you can do every day to impact the world around you for the better. Faith that we can create a more positive, fair world is a step in the right direction.

Also remember that there is a New Moon in Libra later this week further emphasizing the need for peace. Read your New Weekly Horoscope here
