Sun in Aries 2017 Spring Equinox. Weekly Astrology Horoscopes Overview for March 19 to 25, 2017

I write horoscopes because I have a great interest in Wellness, Personal Development, Self Awareness, Psychology, Sociology and Philosophy. I use Astrology as a gateway to sharing information and advice, of looking at the world and our lives, and sharing another point of view. My hope is that what I write gets you thinking and seeing a little bit more of a broader picture than perhaps you may normally consider. I hope that what I share helps you see life and circumstances in another way that is beneficial to you and the lives of those around you.

Thank you for reading and sharing with your friends online. Wishing you a wonderful week!

Spring is finally here! After the cold, dreary gray skies, and the sometimes (or maybe often times) depressing days of winter, we are always promised spring to bring back life to the world around us. Singing birds and colorful, blooming flowers and sunshine are ready to cheer us up and invigorate us once again. Thank goodness!

It’s officially spring when the Sun enters Aries marking the Spring Equinox on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 6:29 am ET. The Sun has returned to the beginning of the zodiac cycle. A new astrological year begins. The creative cycles of nature are being activated once again.

Aries represents the newborn, the initial spark, the inspiration and creative urge to be someone and something. It is fresh, new beginnings.

Redefining yourself and your life is priority.

Mars is in Taurus now, and the North Node is in Virgo for just a few more months. This signifies a time of setting goals and taking real, practical action towards making them manifest in reality. The recent Full Moon in fellow earth sign Virgo, now waning, reminds us to let go of the habits and lifestyles that aren’t doing us any good.

Spring cleaning is highly recommended to help you revamp your life. Out with the old material, in with the new. Removing clutter and getting your life organized with a better structure and environment is always helpful.

It's also a good idea to purge your schedule of any time wasters so that you have more time to put towards important tasks. Tackling money matters is an important step toward progress.

The down side of Mars in Taurus is that materialistic greed and a stubborn ego can be emphasized. Forceful, war like attitudes are no help to bring peace to the world.

This week and next, Mercury brings our attention back to the Jupiter-Pluto-Uranus T-Square configuration that has been highly emphasized for months. The transformation that is happening in the world now is a long-term, challenging process.

With the Jupiter-Pluto-Uranus T-square, there is a lot of emphasis on redefining our lives and that can take a lot of work. There is a need to become wiser by facing the whole spectrum of reality if we’re going to create real changes.

Mercury in Aries is in challenging position to Pluto in Capricorn on Thursday, March 23, 2017.

Then on Friday, March 24, 2017, Mercury is in opposition to Jupiter in Libra.

Conflicting ideas and words can bring tension, but prioritizing logic and intelligence can bring new solutions. Exchanges of information are in a tense place these days, and can lead to surprises as we continue into this week and next.

These days new information just keeps coming out about how out-of-balance the man-made system of the world is, and how much corruption there is going on behind the scenes in many areas of life.

If the world is a reflection of ourselves, how out of balance are we in our own lives? Are we contributing to the imbalance or are we working on being a part of the solution toward harmony?

We can expect much conflict and debate of ideas about the ways of the world to continue. Immaturity is obvious. Differences are emphasized. Gossip is off the radar. Politics and the media continue an outrageous display of egos and bias.

Jupiter retrograde in Libra is about becoming more aware of justice, fairness, equality, choices, ethics, truth and bias in our lives. Soul searching and contemplation on these concepts is highly recommended. These days, it has become so very obvious that the truth is not easy to identify, but truth is what we need most.

One of the things that bothers me most is the priority of corporate interests and money, over people and the environment. Those looking for short term gain and disregarding the long term consequences are not helping the big picture of our lives at all.

Generally, with Mercury emphasizing the Jupiter-Pluto-Uranus square this week and next, in terms of the information exchanges, media, political power, etc., what people claim as the truth is largely biased opinions and conditioning. Isn’t this the crux of the problems these days? People get so caught up in identifying with the side they want to win the debate, that they aren’t listening or even willing to see any other point of view - and thus the divide strengthens.

Bias is not truth. It is an agenda. It is skewed information, and it is on display everywhere. People pick sides and ignore everything outside their bubble. Instead of finding a middle ground, people are adamantly attached to the extremes, at one end of the spectrum or the other, and aggressively push for their side to win. In essence, we are witnessing an information war.

To really find truth, more than one side needs to be looked at. Solutions are not found when we’re battling each others egos, claiming right and wrong, and superiority over another, instead of finding real solutions and commonalities.

The ego is the great divider, and it has been so since our earliest beginnings. Jupiter opposing Uranus speaks directly to ego and bias. Politics is our most obvious example, and isn’t it interesting that in politics there are 2 main choices are what’s handed to you so you can be guaranteed to get all worked up in opposing the other side. It is based on duality, and where there is duality, there is a duel. Choose this side or that side and stick to it come hell or high water… This perpetuates a with us or against us mentality that is guaranteed to polarize and divide people as they choose to label themselves as one side or the other.

So, just how does anyone expect to find real solutions when the tit-for-tat approach is prioritized? When the “I’m right, you’re wrong” frame of mind is in full force, do we really expect to find solutions that work?

Finding everything right about one side, and everything wrong about the other, is hardly objective. It is hardly honest and certainly not helpful in the grand scheme of things. Operating from a divisive perspective will never bring harmony. It will not bring solutions. It will only bring further division. What about a third point of view? What about objectivity, and looking at all the angles? What about common sense? No. People aren’t interested. They want to win the debate. They want to be on the side of the winning team. They want the competition to rule in their favor and crush the other. That’s no way to bring peace.

With so many different versions of stories, and so much bias embedded in each point of view, Pluto is reminding us that the greed and ego is rampant. The back and forth between media, politics and corporate powers, is beyond ridiculous. It’s nothing new, but it is coming out in the open much more these days thanks to the Jupiter-Pluto-Uranus T-Square. The world has many problems because of choices people make and have made.

The Astrology of these times reminds us that we are going through a great change and that the solutions require that we seek and find the real truth. Once the real truth is known, then correct adjustments can be made to bring back balance, maybe even harmony. But, how many of us really want the real truth? How many people are just sticking to their egos and bias, unable to budge and see the larger picture? Too many.

The wars, corruption and division in the world proves that humanity is light years away from being logically and emotionally evolved.

I’ve talked a lot about this bigger picture of societal issues for months due to this Jupiter-Pluto-Uranus T-Square. Through it all, we are recognizing a greater need for change. We want more out of life. We want the truth. We want better relationships. We want to redefine our lives and who we know ourselves to be. We want a change in the way the world operates. But the solutions are not quick and easy. It requires a lot of work, and a lot of letting go of the old ways. Pluto requires that we purge the old established systems and create new ones. But who will create the new? Who decides on what is the right way? Pluto is going to be in Capricorn for a few more years… there’s lots more change to come!

The Sun meets Venus retrograde in Aries on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 6:17 am ET. Self love and self worth are pivotal in our new beginnings. As the Sun grows in daylight time, we’re also growing.

With Venus retrograde in Aries, when you grow in self awareness within, you see and experience yourself and the world around you differently. We need love to shine real light in this world and to create beneficial change.

Love is not selfish. Love is not divisive. Love is caring, compassionate and giving. Love is harmony. Love is togetherness. Love is honesty. Love is truth.

If we're going to bring love and light into the world, we need to acknowledge how we are treating ourselves and others.

Next Week…

Mercury is traveling through Aries quickly on winged feet and meets Uranus on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 11:06 am ET. New realizations of identity can show up fast and change your perspective on yourself. The rebellious side of people can become much more obvious. As each of us are redefining who we are, what we think and believe about reality is changing. Who you know and believe yourself to be will change your path forward.

We are in a period of revolution. As we change within, and become more aware of ourselves and the world around us, we can take steps towards creating positive changes. We can literally change the future. The power of our choices create our reality!

So, what are you going to choose? Are you going to choose to be in your ego, to divide yourself and just add to the problems like so many are already, or are you going to share and talk about solutions, and find ways of creating harmony. Are you going to become wiser and more intelligent so your choices bring truth and light to the world?

The New Moon in Aries on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10:57 pm ET officially begins an all new phase of beginnings for all of us. How are you going to change yourself and change the future?

I’ll talk more about all this in Next Week’s Horoscopes…
