Pluto Retrograde from April 20, 2017 to September 28, 2017. Authority and Truth.

Pluto officially stations retrograde in Capricorn on April 20, 2017 at 8:49 am ET.

Pluto will station direct in Capricorn on September 28, 2017 at 3:37 pm ET.

You can view the 2017 transits list here for more details on where and when the planets will be moving this year.

I’ve talked a lot about Pluto in Capricorn for many months, especially with Jupiter and Uranus both at odds with Pluto in a cardinal T-Square.

As I’ve mentioned numerous times, this is not an easy time. The focus with Pluto in Capricorn in such difficult position to both Jupiter and Uranus is largely on complications and messiness in politics, media, relationships, laws, rules, individuality and identity.

But, before I get into all that, I just want to say that in terms of personal growth and development there are a few key ways to consider this transit.

Capricorn is associated with establishment and structure. Though, in political terms that is the rules and policies of larger society, in our bodies, it rules the bones and thus the spine as well. So, do take extra care of your body’s structure during this time. Foods high in calcium are recommended. Stretch and ensure you are going through ranges of motion so you have more limber flexibility of movement as well. As always, I recommend yoga of course.

Also, take extra care of your skin with sunscreen as the sun heats up the environment around us as it could be more noticeably sensitive with those powerful UV rays. If you’re a runner, warm up well so your knees are able to take the shock of pounding the pavement. These are just a few reminders of ways to take care of yourself while Pluto is retrograde.

As well, this is a good time to consider how you have not been achieving your goals. What have you been putting off, or how have you not been leading your life effectively in the direction you want? Consider how you need to change so you can be a more powerful leader in your own life so you can achieve bigger goals that matter to you. This is a time of self awareness and facing facts about your life and your relationship to the world around you.

When it comes to your individual power, this is a time to look at how you are being an author of your own life. Each of us need to look at what isn't working and decide what it is we each want to manifest in the world.

More people will have an aversion to aggressive behavior in relationships, yet likely have to face it from those that insist on being pushy or forceful.

If you are tempted to do something you know you shouldn't do, it's best to not do it, especially during Pluto retrograde. People are likely to get caught doing all sorts of naughty things with Pluto retrograde in Capricorn.

Now, back to the political side of things because this is mainly what Pluto in Capricorn is concerned with, politics and power. Pluto can be destructive to what is established as it forces change.

While Pluto is Retrograde until September 2017, we can expect even more messiness to come to the surface in the political arena. The immaturity of leadership on all sides proves just how far humanity has to go to grow up! Lots of battles of egos and power are certainly in the crosshairs. All of the issues we’ve been seeing with the conflicts in the media and power, with protests and people seeking the truth, have been a convoluted mess leaving people unsure of who to believe anymore.

This is a time of a significant changes for all of us. Pluto is the mega-powerful planet of transformation after all. To be frank, while Pluto is retrograde, we’ll see lots more dirty deeds and lies making things even messier on the world stage. Corruption in political and financial realms are sure to be hot topics.

Pluto in Capricorn is largely about authority, power, leadership, including political and corporate interests and banking as well as military and religious power. If we are to be objective, we can see that many choices over the years have created quite a mess. Pluto is about the underworld and the phoenix rising from the ashes. Will order come out of chaos, and who has final say on what the order will be?

Diplomacy will become increasingly important but will likely take a back seat as more information is uncovered. Deep political secrets can be revealed and manipulation of media means that propaganda and bias are sure to be big issues that people are simply tired of.

We’ll see how immature leaders in politics and the power heads in media really are.

To dig up the dirt and see what’s hidden under the carpet, more questions will be asked, like:

What does authority really mean? Who has real authority? What constitutes a good leader? Do we believe the leaders? Who makes up the rules and for whose benefit? Do we trust the intentions of leadership as noble and righteous and for the interest of citizens, or are the intentions designed to benefit the rich and powerful elite? Do we agree with the structure of society and with how things are run in the grand scheme of things? How do powerful, authoritative figures or organizations impact the world around us?

And what about our individual place in relation to authority? Who are the authors of the bigger reality we are creating here on earth? Who establishes the framework of society? Who decides and who sets the goals that impacts the world? Who is in charge? Who governs and takes an authoritative role? Do we agree with them? And most importantly, are they telling the truth? This isn’t just the figurehead of a political party, this is the whole underlying system and network that is behind the scenes that makes things happen.

All kinds of questions about leaders are going to come up, whether they are politicians, leaders of corporations, or leaders of media conglomerates, the truth is what the people want. However, with so much bias, disinformation and the like, trust and truth is not so easy to come by.

With Pluto retrograde, rather than blindly following and accepting what is said, people are going to ask way more questions to try to get to the bottom of things and we may not like what we see about the decisions those in leadership roles have been making, or why. We are likely to seem more resistance. This is a revolutionary time thanks to Jupiter-Pluto-Uranus.

More people will scrutinize those in leadership roles. Loud, obnoxious commentators may get a lot of attention but such forcefulness will be opposed to the sensitivities of many. People will want a counter to such crass behavior, and instead will prioritize peace and harmony. Getting back to our roots of living in the moment, appreciating the material world, being more zen about life will appeal to more as a more yin approach is valued.

When it comes to the changes we see in the world now, we see the results of actions, but we don’t necessarily know the truth of who is doing what and why they are doing it. We can only go by what we are told. Is that information skewed? We can expect to have more doubts. Though we are told reasons, sometimes they simply don't logically add up. Pluto retrograde is going to make things more complicated, and the process will lead to ever more questions. Is what we are told really true?

This Jupiter-Pluto-Uranus square configuration will not occur again like this for thousands of years. It truly is a revolutionary time for us all. It's interesting with these massive power players at strong odds it does hearken amazingly to the themes we have read about in George Orwell's 1984.

Interestingly, the so-called “Deep State” is being discussed much more lately, and more independent journalists will take it upon themselves to do more research to try to expose the truth of what’s going on behind the scenes. That’s so very Pluto in Capricorn. If there are hidden motives and agendas, inside deals and corporate interests that are guiding the larger political picture, we can expect that more people will be passionate to thoroughly investigate what’s really going on. Pluto wants to leave no stone unturned and we can expect the search for information to expose the truth will be a priority for many.

War is not what we the people want. It is what the political leaders create as they battle one another for domination and power. The elite powers just play their game of chess, while it is always the civilians and citizens that suffer in war. Make love, not war to change the world.

Venus is now direct in Pisces since April 15, 2017 close to Chiron as Pluto begins his retrograde phase, reminding us that we need love, healing and compassion to make the world a better place.

I’ve talked a lot about these things over the months, and will continue to share more with you as we move forward on a variety of related topics.

I may add more information during this long transit as I feel inspired. :)
