The Sun enters Taurus April 19, 2017 and More About Mercury Retrograde

The Sun enters Taurus on April 19, 2017 at 5:27pm ET.

Happy Birthday Month to all Taureans! The Sun will be in Taurus until May 20, 2017.

As the Sun leaves Aries and enters Taurus, he meets with Mercury retrograde in Taurus.

The Sun enters Taurus every year at this time as part of the cycles of nature.

The Sun meets Mercury in Taurus on April 20, 2017 at 1:53 am ET. We are reminded of the importance of bringing the mind back down to earth. If you often live with your mind in the clouds, and over thinking, this is the time to get in touch with the world around you, and your physical body.

Spending time in nature does wonders for the body and mind. The Sun also corresponds to divinity. For thousands of years people have revered the sun and light as a symbol of spiritual divinity, and for some, it has literally been worshiped as The Divine.

Body, mind and spirit, in harmony together, can bring us delight, and enlightenment.

This is the time to enjoy the fragrance of blooming flowers, the sunshine on your skin, the sights of trees budding, the taste of delicious, wines, organic fruits and vegetables, the sounds of birds chirping… It's time to experience the physical world of life more attentively with your senses.

Tree huggers and environmentalists will feel like they are in their element. Health and wellness are also highlighted now. Exercise in nature is recommended. If you’re into Yoga, or would like to begin a new practice, start with Sun Salutations to get in touch with your body and the light within you and around you.

Money matters require a more serious approach as well. If you’re unsure of your financial bottom line, this is the time to look at the details more closely.

The Sun meeting Mercury retrograde in Taurus brings an awareness of the importance of taking care of the environment. It's like saying, "Hello. Wake up. Polluting the environment constantly and taking nature for granted is not the brightest idea humanity. Can't you see what you're doing?" It's like something people should already know, but are too distracted and busy thinking about other things to give nature and the environment the proper attention it truly needs and deserves.

The Sun with Mercury retrograde also symbolizes search for truth in information, as much as Jupiter in Libra does now. The truth of information is to be asked, particularly information that impacts the material world. Is the information presented really true? The trickster motif of Mercury is emphasized while retrograde, and therefore lies... thus, we are reminded that glossing over information and taking it at face value must be questioned.

Mercury close to the Sun in Taurus, also connected with the North Node in fellow earth sign Virgo recently. Time and money management is essential to get on track. Errors in your habits that are not serving your financial stability are well advised to be addressed now. Mistakes in processes and operations in business and material affairs need a closer eye to be corrected. Practical choices and actions become ever more important to the karma you create.

It's also a good time to look back at the practical things you do day to day. Have a closer look at what hasn't been working out the way you hoped. Ideas that may have seemed like a great idea recently, may now look different. You may need to reconsider your options.

An obsession with cleanliness or tidiness is also possible too. If so, don't hesitate to enjoy spring cleaning, but throwing things out with Mercury retrograde may lead to regret. Make piles of things you aren't totally sure about and wait a while before discarding for good. Consider recycling, repurposing or regifting as options for the things that you like but don't need any longer.

As the Sun transits through Taurus over the next month, take some time to enjoy the sunlight and natural world. Take breaks in your day to get outside and breathe in the air, and watch the birds perched on budding tree branches. Get your financial picture in order and take responsibility for your income and expenses so you can feel more grounded and confident in your security.

The earth element is most often stable. It takes thousands of years for land and rock to change even slightly. If you visit a distant location years later, it is usually easily recognized as it is often nearly the same as when you were there before. There is a permanence to the earth element, and it will remain long after you leave.

This is a good time to remember to honor the people, pets, animals, places, and natural surroundings you have been gifted the ability to enjoy while you’re here. Compassion and being of service to life and all of nature is rewarding.

I will be sharing more reminders and Special Reports this week. Come back for more updates.
